#HappyPride! 🏳️‍🌈 I designed this out of anything I had/found online when I went #RuPaul tour in Orlando a bit ago, & I hope I get to explore making more original #drag & #costumes representing 🎶some of my favorite thiiings🎶~ 😆 As I mentioned, there's no "one way" to look #Nonbinary, but this is a fun & freeing way for me express and just have fun with how I feel about myself, art & the world. #Labels are debated often, maybe one day we won't need them, but they help me & many others process & navigate their lives, to hopefully come to a state of being comfortable with the self. About my OC drag-inspired look: 💚 I've always been a fan of #faeries & #robots, #fantasy & #SciFi, so I had to mash those together. 🧚 Faeries are of their nature. They can't stray from what calls to them, & we all know you shouldn't mess w/ one! The #faery represents freedom, self-acceptance & my confidence - when it decides to show up~ 😅 🤖 So many robot tales out there - whether they go well or poorly - usually show us what it truly means to be human, as the robot struggles with identifying themselves & evolving into who they want to be or simply become. So the #robot represents my journey for self-discovery & striving to break free from my "original programming" instilled in me for so long. This flesh-mech-suit taking it one day at a time! 😆 My #makeup is also part inspired by an amazing #artist on here: @dollfille - so thank you for your art! The #contouring consists of blues/pinks & #RainbowTears in solidarity. We need to stand together more than ever, for we are all humans, & we are all equal. My heart breaks at the injustice, cruelty, & bigotry I see. Be an #ally. Be open to new things & embrace change/differences so you can #KeepLearning! 1) Everything changes/evolves, so to deny that is denying reality, & 2) Isn't it exciting?! I can't wait to see what the future holds (#RobotOverlords? Looks like it 😂). I'm rooting for more acceptance, & less hatred 🧚💚

Here are some debunked Myths about what it means to be Nonbinary 🤓💚🌈: Myth: "You have to present a certain way/present androgynous to be nonbinary," "But you present male/female," "But you've always wore [X] style clothes," "But you go by he|she..." "But I KNOW you..." etc. -Truth: There’s no such thing as “Looking Nonbinary.” It is about self-identity, on the inside. It is not a visual thing. How one presents has nothing to do with it, although one can choose to self-express based off this identity. Sadly this one gets confused often, adding struggle to those still trudging through gender-dysmorphia & finding themselves. However, many choose to explore their gender fluidity, androgyny, etc., however they want, like through clothing & art, like me! 💚🤘🏻 Some people feel more feminine one day or every 5secs & more masculine the next, or they don't think of gender at all & are removed from it, it doesn't have to be 50/50, & all are valid under this umbrella term. Here's an easy way to think about it: Just like you know you don’t have to wear dresses to be a cis-woman or wear pants to be a cis-man, it's same the principle. Myth: "Being Nonbinary means you can't identify with a gender identity, only "They" is a truly Nonbinary person. -Truth: Many people identify as non-binary AND as male/female. They often feel comfortable enough with the gender identification due to various factors: how they feel, they're used to & comfortable w/ how they were socialized as male/female, &/or can completely love or want to explore their socialized gender identity, but still feel at the end of the day that it doesn't always feel it represents them fully or accurately. Myth: "Non-binary people must be Intersex, Trans, or some other 3rd thing. -Truth: This is being confused with biology. Again it's not presentation, etc. Myth: "Non-binary has to do with your sexual preferences." -Truth: This is getting confused with "sexual orientation" as opposed to "personal identification." You can be straight, gay, bi, pan, queer, asexual, etc. Again it's not about any of that, just about WHO you are in this area. 🧚‍♀️💚

Non-binary awareness: . 💜 The definition of the word "Non-binary" means not.. binary.. meaning not JUST one or the other. That would be the word "Binary." 💛 Non-binary is an umbrella term for people whose gender identity doesn’t sit comfortably with ‘man’ or ‘woman’ or they do not feel solely as one of those two genders. These identities can fall outside the man/woman dichotomy, or may be more specific. 🤍 Non-binary identities are varied and can include people who identify with some aspects of binary identities, while others reject them entirely. For example if a person DOES identify their gender, they do not neatly follow the *binary* of man/woman. 🖤 Non-binary people can feel that their gender identity and gender experience involves being both a man & a woman, that it is fluid, in between, or completely outside that of binary. 💜 Non-binary people might feel that "gender binary" identification makes one feel pigeonholed, and don’t want to identify with it . After yrs of informing the self & trying to find myself more deeply, hopefully just to continue to explore & evolve the self, I feel currently that She/They fits me most accurately. Gender, for me, simply is just more fluid. So why #Robot #Faery & #Drag styles with a half blue half pink wig? Well as a costume maker my #BabysFirstDrag freed me to use my body as a canvas for my art to express every aspect of myself, & my journey with my self-identity so far, & a hopefully something others' can relate to - You're not alone & you are valid. #HappyPride! 🏳️‍🌈 For a while, I've been dealing w/ extreme burnout, but I've been wanting to create & share so much after these past few yrs. Growing up, I wore many masks w/o even knowing it. Being bullied when young + trauma lead to me feeling "not good enough" often. I have overwhelm & my brain gets overloaded, but I keep getting back on my feet. I started updating my pronouns in my bios. I'm very lucky to have a few people in my life who accept me no matter what, to them, I'm just.. me! 😊💚 My initial coming out was hard. At the same time I was grappling with severe grief due to the loss of my Dad in 2020. Isolation and trauma while at the same navigating some of my self-identity really caused overwhelm. I'm still trudging thru like everyone, staying true to the self & my found family. Never feel you have to hide who you are. How many filters and shinies can I put on this? Probably too many LoL but I wanted to see if I could make her glasses look a little less... cellophane-y 😅 I made them out of wire and cellophane layers to get that maroony color and I think I got the shape down, but I hope to make new ones for her next time by molding plexiglass if I can figure that out!
