You were at work when you bumped into the demon prince, unaware of his power and status
Yet you still smiled at him sweetly.
Diavolo's always had a thing for humans.
Barbatos knows it, Lucifer knows it, Hell even Luke knows it. Not to the full extent but Luke sees the adoration on his face when people talk about humans doing cute human things.
It's kind of the reason Solomon is here.
It was a while ago, but Diavolo begged and pleaded with Barbatos to let him get a human. They're just so innocent! And wholesome! Pleeease??
Barbatos only agreed because Diavolo snuck out and stole a human. The stress caused Lucifer's hair to turn gray. They wiped the human's memory and sent it home,making Diavolo pout and huff in annoyance
Barbatos got sick of seeing him acting so larthargic and depressed. It's just a human. So he reached out to the only one he's close with.
Good 'ol immortal Solomon.
"If you stay in Devildom I'll make a pact for you, the young master requires a human and I'm afraid you're the only one whose..Durable enough."
Diavolo was excited for a few months, and then lost interest, he can only eat so many failed dishes, yknow?

He spent weeks complaining to Lucifer about it on the phone.
Yknow in the movies the scene with the two best friends on the phone and gossiping about boys and doing each other's nails? Yeah, well that's Diavolo and Lucifer. Except Lucifer just wants to be left the fuck alone but has to listen to him babble about humans
Lucifer got pissed and stole one. Yeah, he scolded Diavolo about it last time but he's so sick and tired of hearing him go on and on about it.
Besides, he took you because Diavolo kept freaking out about it.
After your two minute encounter with Diavolo you forgot about it entirely. Diavolo spent months gushing about you to anyone who would listen, Barbatos helped find your identity and where you were staying and snatched you up.
You stood in front of a bunch of demons with a confused expression. They were speaking in another language to keep you from freaking out
"Huh?! What's this?? Oooh! Lucifer you got me a human??? Thank you! Thank you thank you! I love it! I'm going to keep it forever! I wonder what it's name is!"
Barbatos quickly shushes him to keep him from stressing you out. The last human Diavolo had mostly cried after it figured out the demon prince abducted them. Barbatos starts to speak to you in a language you understand
"Hello. You've been selected for the RAD student exchange program. We were supposed to notify you at an earlier date but I'm afraid Mammon forgot, as per usual."
Lucifer marvels at Barbatos ability to be quick on his feet while Diavolo shakes with excitement.
Barbatos explained that they were trying to bring the three realms together and needed a human reprentitive and you'd be staying in the castle with them. Diavolo tried his best not to be too clingy with you, but fuck! Your just so small! And squishy! Humans are so warm! Without fur or magic, too!
Awe you don't even have any horns or wings! So precious! You wanna touch his??
Barbatos has rules for Diavolo to take care of his new pet human
- Don't feed them too much junk food, they get sick.
- Most humans don't like being woken up abruptly, especially without reason. It needs to rest for at least 8 hours a day. No. It cannot take 10 minutes naps whenever it gets the chance. 8 hours. Straight. Non negotiable. Let them rest, do your work.
- Please don't pick the human up like a ragdoll without permission. The last human you had bit you for a reason
- If the human says no it means no. I understand everyone has to obey you but if you ignore the humans wishes you could stress them out again and they'll get sick
- Stop buying them so many matching outfits. People are beginning to ask questions
- if the human wants to eat pickles let them
- Stop trying to put a collar on them
- Stop trying to walk them around on a leash
- Never invite Lucifer to take Cerberus and the human on a walk together again
-"The human told me to" is not a valid excuse
-If the human tells you to spell "icup" don't. Lucifer's been blowing up my phone all week complaining that they taught Mammon.
-Refrain from talking to them like a small child or dog. They are a grown adult. They know better. It's embarrassing to them and everyone in the area.
-Please don't encourage other demons to "adopt" humans. They don't like being taken from their homes forcefully
-Next time you get into a disagreement don't say "Yeah, well my human is better" or "at least I have a human" You're not supposed to have it.
-Sometimes humans cough for no reason, you don't need to call a doctor everytime it sneezes
-Stop offering it "treats" to do what you want.
Human, I know you're reading this. Stop accepting his bribe. You know better.
Sir, for the last time the human isn't an animal. They can eat chocolate.

Some fun/dumb things that Diavolo has done with you
Made you sit on his lap as he brushed your hair at his desk. He was just having fun playing with your scalp in his spinny chair while looking out the window. Then Lucifer walked in and he swiveled around while petting you and said "Well well well, if it isn't Lucifer." As if he was a super villain with his cat. Lucifer just rolled his eyes and said "Yeah. It's me. You called me here."
Encouraged Satan to dangle a piece of string in front of your face like a cat. You swatted his hand away and Diavolo assumed you were playing. Satan was just tormenting you for fun because he thinks it's hilarious how naive Diavolo is.
Calls you all sorts of humiliating names. His favorites are "My pretty wittle human" and "Squishy baby" Leviathan gags loudly whenever he calls you these names
Tucks you in every night. Most people don't have an issue with this and it's best to just let him because if you refuse he'll assume you're being fussy because be didn't pay enough attention to you and spends the rest of the night forcing you by his side. If he has to stay up and work then congrats you're gonna sleep on his lap as he does it. Either that or he's rushing to put on his pajamas to sleep with you
Bought you a lot of dog toys. They're close enough to stuffed animals, right?
Refuses to let anyone pet you. That's his job
Whenever he sees you scratching an itch he rushes over to do it for you. You could be rubbing your nose and he'll want to do it instead!
Whenever you yawn he goes "Oooh big yawn!" In the sweetest voice ever
He loves seeing you wear mittens. He can't describe the pure joy he feels seeing you wear them. He won't force you to because Barbs will get upset but if you do it willingly he will foam at the mouth
He wants to spoon feed you. Only if you let him, though.
Encourages you to chase squirrels. You can if you want but I'd prolly just stare at him like "ok cool can we go inside now??"
He likes to stand at the edge of your bed until you wake up so he can play with you.
If you fall he's gonna be crying as if he was the one that fell instead. Really you just tripped over your own feet
The brothers love having you over because they think you're hilarious. They all know about your situation and like to tease.
Expects you to climb into empty boxes
Builds pillow forts everywhere in the castle. Barbatos gets sick of tripping over pillows and takes them down
He likes to wear one of these with you in them. You just dangle there throughout the day because he doesn't want to be separated from you
Honestly just reminds me of a little girl with her baby doll that she wants to carry around everywhere. Except the doll is a living breathing creature and the little girl is a grown ass man who is the demon prince.
Huh.
Yknow he'd totally push you around in a baby stroller. Don't lie. He would.
Diavolo brings humans in like a child would with a frog they found in their backyard and is like "Can we keep it🥺" and Barbatos is like "No its a wild fucking animal put it back." Then turns to Lucifer until he's like "Fine, whatever. Don't get mad when it dies in a week."
There is a small child in this cafe writhing and screaming with such violence and rage that they keep running out of breath and coughing. The source of her rage? Her mom asked her to eat a single grape.
