Sorry for being gone for a while. Personally i had a lot of things going on & projects i wanted to finish especially. If you wanna find out more about those projects that’ve been keeping me busy, it’d be on my Instagram very soon. (Instagram still is one of my more active socials though of course its fine to just stick to here on tumblr but i do end up putting other of my art there too that i maybe dont put here; i do the same viceversa for here also)
Im very much a fan for halloween & i take alot of excitement just from the holiday. I wanted to obviously make something special just for Halloween. The best i could think of was drawing two guys that absolutely mean the most & everything to me. They’d definitely get the most candy this year & even their costumes fit them the absolute best (Gigan’s a devil & Megs’ a cowboy). With that, I’ll see if i can go back to maybe posting more here again too but life can definitely be very unpredictable. So with that, I’ll just try sharing whatever i can when i get the chance to ^^:

I am Samir Al-Kilani from Gaza, 21 years old. I was in my third year of study before this brutal aggression that destroyed our lives and our universities.
I study at the College of Engineering and Information Technology in the Android Programming Department. I was at the Islamic University, which was extensively destroyed by the occupation and is no longer fit for study.
As for my family, my father paid all his savings to buy a beautiful, independent house for us and we finished building it in September 9, a month before the aggression. Then we lived in it for a month. We prepared the furniture and other things, but we were not happy about that because the occupation warned us to evacuate our homes and demolish them on the first days of the war.
But now, I live in a tent like all the people of Gaza, and we suffer from basic supplies such as gas and water. These are pictures of our suffering in cooking and raising water.
I created this campaign in order for you to help me rebuild my life and complete my education abroad to be a support for my family, which consists of 6 members. I need you to pay the costs of traveling abroad, which at these times amount to $7,000, so that I can go out, work, and support my family.

I was out shopping today in Culver City and came across this at a local store called Big Lou’s Toys and Collectibles. This is a 1995 “making of” book dedicated to Gamera: Guardian of the Universe, and it’s really cool. It’s an extensive look behind the scenes of the film, not only showcasing some great on-set photos and lengthy interviews with several crew members, but also some really eye-catching concept pieces like these:
That last one, by the way, is an excellent homage to the theatrical poster for Giant Monster Gamera (1965).
But the coup de grâce here is a short manga story called “Legend”, which touches on something that really should have been touched on more in the film series - the fall of the ancient civilization that created both Gamera and Gyaos. I’m not sure if it’s technically canon, but it fits the tone of Guardian of the Universe well. Here are a few excerpts:

Mohammed (@ahmed0khalil) and his family are sheltering in a UN classroom at Deir el-Balah right now. Do you know how worried I am when I heard that a school sheltering displaced families in Deir el-Balah has been bombed?? At least one person has been killed and more are injured in the attack.
A tent near another school has been bombed, injuring multiple children. Mohammed is only 19 years old and he has 5 siblings. The youngest is only 6 and his 11-year-old brother is autistic and does not understand anything. They are all so young and I worry for them. Israel has shown time and time again that it has no qualms killing children. Mohammed's brother Ahmed is only 6-years-old. What has he done to have to worry about being killed by bombs??
Israel has been targeting densely populated areas, refugee camps and shelters. In September alone, 17 schools have been bombed, 14 of which were housing refugees. And on top of having to fear for their lives, Mohammed and his family are suffering from malnutrition and diseases because they don't have enough money to buy food and medicine! Please give them more support!!

Since the onset of the latest war in Gaza, our home has been completely destroyed, forcing us into displacement. We’ve had to move more than thirteen times in search of safety. Additionally, we were exposed to numerous contagious diseases and dangerous epidemics.
