yeah the doctor said they found the source of my guilt and quiet agony deep within my core. Yeah turns out there really is something physically and fundamentally wrong with me that I've been carrying my entire life. No they said they're not gonna remove it. Said its an "elective surgery" so insurance won't cover it. Anyway how are you

Hi, America. This is what happens when you fire the professionals working for government agencies in charge of public health and safety.
People are getting very sick - intestinal issues for months - from a foodborne illness transmitted via uncooked produce due to a chroline resistant parasite which has contaminated water used to irrigate crops. Lots of recalls. 1000 cases nationally, early this month.
This kind of thing is preventable if you fund scientific research into public safety and protecting our environment from pollution.

So the thing is boobs really do be jiggling. If having breasts has taught me anything it is that the ladies frolic. I don't even have that large of boobs but every time I go down some stairs all I can think about is that stupid quote about boobing breastily down the stairs or whatever it is because God Damn.
But anime and video game boob jiggling is like. The most uncanny valley shit I've ever seen nine times out of ten. You would think people this horny about tits would have actually looked at some but I guess not.
What we really need is some pervert to compile the ultimate visual guide to boob bouncing physics that's just like 500 hours of meticulously organized videos of breasts of different size and shape and under different fabrics bouncing around from a wide variety of physical movements so horny game devs can finally get it right and I don't have to be creeped out by women who appear to have surgically implanted softballs in their chest under skin made of rubber bands.

I donât know if this is an obvious take or a hot take, but I think people need to start re-framing feminism as the fight for body autonomy as opposed to whatever this second wave revival gender essentialist bullshit we have going on right now. Once you reframe it in this way, itâs easier to understand intersectionality and why cis women are not the only people who need feminism. The lack of body autonomy effects cis women, trans people, intersex people, disabled people, poc, homeless people, sex workers, etc. and your feminism needs to include and prioritise all of these groups of people (which will include men btw) because feminism is about autonomy, not about establishing a matriarchy. Body autonomy is the biggest threat to the patriarchy, both with reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and even the right to not be drafted into military services. Once body autonomy is established for everyone, the patriarchy no longer has a leg to stand on.
And body autonomy does include things that you donât personally like either. I was prompted to write this post after a series of bad takes from progressives, but one of them was re-hashing the Sabrina Carpenter album cover drama with âI donât think itâs conservative of me to think that the album cover is a bad look when weâve seen images of women being abused in this wayâ because I do actually think youâve failed to understand feminism by projecting your morals onto a woman who was consensually expressing her own autonomy just because she expressed it in a way that you didnât like or that made you uncomfortable.
Body autonomy also means unhealthy choices. Body autonomy also means regret rates. Body autonomy also means freedom of sexuality. Body autonomy also means mutilation. If you believe body autonomy has limitations and exceptions, then your feminism is most likely surface level.
TERFs are some of the biggest opponents to body autonomy, and if you find yourself thinking âoh people can do whatever they want with their bodies as long as it doesnât harm them or make others uncomfortableâ then you are far more susceptible to TERF propaganda than you think.
ooooh the radfems are BIG mad about this one
the thing about het romances is most of them are sexist so even tho iâm meant to root for them ill spend half of it thinking he shouldnât talk to her like that
This is so true and frustrating I started writing my own romances.
Okay, I have more to say on this. A lot, and I mean A LOT, of heterosexual romance is based on the fantasy of the patriarchal bargain actually working.
The patriarchal bargain when simplified is woman submits/dedicates to man. Man protects woman and children. His power becomes both shield and weapon for her.
If you grew up as a girl in a culture, basically any culture, everything around you was propagandizing the patriarchal bargain. (The culture fog/smog did it, even if your specific nuclear family tried not to.) (all the members of your family grew up in worse smog/fog)
The bargain doesnât work. Itâs never worked. But like all fan fiction, lots of writers are in love with the characters and think they can tweak it just a bit to find a new and better story inside the framework. The woman is sassy, a firecracker, not like other girls. She gets respect. Real Respect from the patriarchal object. The man fulfills the role of patriarch, he has power to share and protection to give, and gives it generouslyâŠbut only to special girl. That selective stinginess preserves his power and station within the patriarchy. If he wasnât Like That, her reward for bargaining would be smaller. If a woman is depending on the patriarchal bargain, she needs a man that can navigate and win the patriarchal hierarchy between men. (Thatâs a different post)
And in older novels they are much more blunt about how, legally, picking a husband might be the only meaningful choice a woman ever gets to make. It is life and death. And every grade of misery and happiness in between.
And the thing isâŠpicking a partner is still kind of life or death. I think every heterosexual woman feels the reality of that even if they havenât carefully dissected the cultural forces. Maybe especially if they havenât. So for as many women as there are currently, today, trying to escape the patriarchal bargain, I think there are just as many, probably more that are hypothesizing and fantasizing about making it work.
Essentially: âwhat if I take all the types of people I actually see around me, and the types of relationships I actually know, but make them WORK. With good sex that has no orgasm gap, and like real love and affection under all that other stuff. It HAS to be there, right? Under all that other stuff?â
Itâs often hard to get out of that paradigm. Generally, often not always, you have to admit and reconcile with the fact that your father who was good to you, was kind of shit to your mother. And there is no fixing him, or his type.
