My hand slipped and I made a Steve blog
"You trying doing this then! I’m doing the best I can, encryptions are rather long processes. I’m working fast, just go..sit over there..or make yourself some tea."
He groans and completely flops back in his chair. "We're on a deadline here. I can't start my part of the mission without knowing the weapon specs the enemy has."
"I’m sorry, it is just our protocol. You’ll be cleared soon enough.
If you need anything just let me know.”
"Some form of memory wipe would be nice. But I'll settle for a glass of water." He sighs and runs his hand through his hair. "Do you know when I can go home?"
Bucky couldn’t help but smirk at that. “I suppose you might be right.”
"The question now is; do you want to find out if I'm right or not?"
“I suggest you start talking.”
"I've already told you. Alexi Shostakov hired me to steal the info."

Valentina runs after him and summons roots from the ground. The roots wrap around his legs, stopping him in his tracks. “Drop the relic!” The witch shouts. Thunder and lightning crash above the two of them. “It doesn’t belong to you!”
Tyler struggles against the roots; trying to free himself from their grip, but it's no use, he's completely stuck. "Here's the deal: you let me go and this thing - whatever it is - stays in one piece." He pulls the relic from out of his bag. "Or you can keep me trapped here and I'll turn this thing into sand," he tells her, his sonic gun in the other hand.
Alex was home alone, as usual, when he heard the faint whistling in his apartment. Raising an eyebrow he muttered silently to himself “Not this shit again.” as he walked slowly and quietly into the living room.
There's a small vibration on his wrist as his bot alerts him to movement nearby. But it doesn't deter Tyler; it only speeds up the timetable he'd made.
SHIELD liked weapons. They liked shiny new toys, things with the ability to, well, murder someone. Of course, they had mechanics who made kick ass weapons, but the government was always persistent. You need to branch out, they say. Try new weapons! But trying new weapons was bullshit, what was the point when they could make their own?
Of course, ever since her little stunt she pulled of not calling in backup, they put Charlie in the job of the meetings. She loved items of destruction just as much as the next agent, but she’d much rather use them than approve them.
The man walks into the conference room, where she’s sat in her uncomfortable business wear. She puts on her reading glasses, not that she needs them, and watches him enter.
"Morning."
Well at least this time it isn't some agent passed their field days. Those were always the most annoying; they'd never have the chance to use the weapons on the field, so why should they be the ones approving them?
The fact that she's good looking also helps.
He smiles at her and finishes off his morning coffee, binning it before proceeding to the desk. "Morning. I'm Tyler Young, an engineer specializing in weapon design and production, and it looks like we both drew the short straw and have landed ourselves in this boring old meeting for the rest of the day."
He chuckles to himself as he opens up the ridiculous brief case that he's been forced to carry that holds all the files on the weapons that he's going to present to this agent.

He hears the whispering of his everyone around him before he sees the captain. He turns and smiles. "Captain. It's nice to finally meet you."

"So..." He looks up from the file that he has. "Your file here says you've had a few run ins with the cops for thief. Fancy earning yourself some money?"

"It was magic. And don’t you dare hurt my father. I won’t hesitate to hurt you." Her eyes shift and she looks at the device on his wrist. A flick of her hand and she makes the device short-circuit. "Now, I suggest you leave if you know what’s good for you."
"Magic doesn't exist, idiot. So there's no point in trying to pretend that's what it was." He rips off the broken device as it burns the top layer of his skin, and shoves it into his pocket to repair it later. "Sure, I'll leave. Just gotta grab one thing." Quickly he grabs the artifact, and runs towards the window, using his gun to break the window and running away.

"I know I've never been taken hostage before. But don't you guys have some kind of protocol where I can go home before getting debriefed."
"Congratulations on your marriage, your Nation thanks you."
PLOT IDEA: Nearly one hundred years ago an invisible murderer swept across the nation killing all those in its wake. It cared not of your skin, gender or age it’s only cared to burn your body from the inside out. It was a plague that snatched children from parent’s tight holds and lovers from firmly clasped hands with no remorse. It took ten years for the virus to run its course and die out before the nation could rebuild the number that they once had before the plague came. To ensure that they would become the once prosperous nation they once were the remaining leaders created a set of new laws that bind their citizens to bettering the entire nation.
When each citizen reaches the prime age of eighteen they are contracted in marriage to another individual who will heritability benefit the growth of the country. The female’s after being paired would travel on Contract Day to their husband’s birth city to live with him in a home that was provide to the couple by the government. The male’s would stay in their birth city but, move out of their parent’s home and into a home that was provided to them. In some cases, the couple was transported to another state where they were more needed.
Each couple would then produce at least four children and if they were to produce more the government would compensate them for their bountifulness. If a couple could not produce the quota, they were subjected to punishment by the government. This punishment varied from each person but, they were typically never heard from again. If a spouse dies, a new one would be assign to the widow and the family would be relocated, if their quota has not already been met. It was rare but, not unheard of for such a thing to happen.
In the year 2133 it is time for Muse A to meet their spouse Muse B on Contract Day. As soon as they sign their contracts they will receive a packet on their spouse, information on their vocation, keys to their new home and a if they are a female a ticket for the train to their new home town. All the classes and schooling they’ve taken has led up to this day. Now, all that’s left is to actually meet and begin their lives.

"I’m a witch. And you’re an intruder in my home. Who are you?" She asks, narrowing her eyes. The young woman makes her toward him, her hands still glowing from the magic. Her eyes go back to their usual brown and the energy in the room changes.
"Val? Honey, are you okay?" A man calls from upstairs. "Yeah, dad! Just go back to bed! I dropped something." She turns and looks back at the stranger.
Tyler arches an eyebrow at her as he slowly starts to stand up again and tries not to laugh. "No really, how did you do that?" He asks slowly, rubbing his ears one last time. "What was it? Some sort of electric shield?"
He keeps a hold of his gun, ready to fire again as soon as he knows how she made that shield. "So... Your father's home? Would be a shame if something was to happen to him. You don't know what I've got placed throughout your home."
