by the way. it never is too late to decide you want to be happy. the woman who helped me get hormones didnt start hers until she was 70, and i met her at 73, beautiful and smiling - and told me that the last three years of her life had been her favorite. your favorites might be ahead of you too. why not hang around and find out?
Wilderness of tumblr is beautiful
Shit, the way things are going, racial slurs, racist jokes, and the N word have become socially acceptable too. The bar, already in hell, has gone lower and still!
"oh, I live in a desert and-"
"wow that must be so terrible" "deserts are so ugly" "I would never want to live in a wasteland like that" "it's just empty nothingness"

this post and all its wonderful additions (look in the notes) is circulating again. these photos and many of the ones added in the notes come from the US Southwest.
right now the trump administration is attacking the public lands in the Southwestern US. most recently (July 2026), in Utah the Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments have been cut by over 90% to allow for mining. these lands are sacred to multiple Native nations in the area and contain irreplaceable archeological sites. additionally, the commission of Native representatives who aided in management of these lands has been dissolved leaving Native people without a voice in caring for the remaining land. (read more here)
here in New Mexico, the 10 mile buffer zone surrounding Chaco Canyon preventing oil and gas drilling is under attack. Chaco Canyon contains incredibly old and incredibly fragile archeological sites sacred to Pueblo people. these sites are threatened by mining and drilling. (read more here)
The attack on the Chaco buffer zone is currently in a public comment period open until July 29. PLEASE leave a public comment to save these irreplaceable places.
what's your "if I won the lottery I wouldn't tell anyone but there would be signs" thing? mine is getting a fully green kitchen
āDo it scaredā ādo it aloneā are all great tips, but my biggest takeaway from therapy is do it messy. This is especially true if youāre getting out of a burnout, which I experience often. Literally just do it messy. You donāt need to pick the perfect trail to walk, the perfect playlist to listen to, whatever the fuck it is. You donāt need to have a meticulous to do list and wake up at the exact time you planned and drink the exact amount of water you planned to drink. Like the biggest thing for people like me to remember is sometimes itās okay to do it messy. Put on a random yt workout and just get it done in sweats. Do 5 minutes of a daunting task and go from there. Sometimes just getting up is a win during intense burnouts or depressive funks. Literally just do it messy.
And then you canāt even say shit about bc people start trying to put you in a jacket and shit. Like omg itās so strict???
write insane shit thatās way beyond your perceived ability and skill level even if you donāt finish it even if you think it sucks
I try to surround myself with whimsy in order to make being disabled and tired and in pain suck less but sometimes it just. sucks. no matter how much you try to romanticize your life.
Sometimes you are just stuck in bed in a messy room, surrounded by trash you couldnāt sit up to throw away, dishes piled on the floor by the bed. Your body aches but youāre too tired to get up to get a hot pack or some pain meds. Not to mention youāve needed to use the bathroom and have for hours but no one is home to help you get up so you just have to wait. And youāre dehydrated but ran out of water by your bed. But you canāt get up. So you just lay there and itās not whimsical at all.
I watched the live action version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" on Youtube and I was not ready for the utter lack of emotions from the CGI animals.
Nala looking concerned about Simba hiding something about his past, a comparison:
Also, in CGI this song called "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" does not take place at night.
Went outside and saw a bat flying around. Then i saw a toad in the yard. Straight up like a witchās brew out there . Stay safe
Everytime I fall I love with another character and I think to myself, wow heās so great, heās so trans masc wow. I wonder if the online community agree that character is trans?
And they say āyes she is!!ā And start force feeding her estrogen Infront of me.
I think it's so important and crucial for 20 year olds to witness older people who are genuinely bad at some aspects of being a person but are still living lives they find meaningful and enjoyable. Not just "oh I got married and you can too" but like. sometimes you cannot for the life of you finish college or find a good job or stay in a relationship or arrive to locations on time or whatever it is you think when you're 20 that you HAVE to be able to do. But you wind up finding a place in the world anyway. It happens!
āWhat if poor people abuse the system?ā
The system intrinsically abuses poor people.
Hope this helps.
"What if poor people abuse the system?"
Rich people abuse the system far more and out of pure greed, not necessity or desperation so idrc about that
