The idea of Sanj getting close to the kid pirates has me in a chokehold specially if we are talking about post zolusan breakup.
Cause Law and the Heart Pirates they understand, Law is caring and more emotionally mature, most of the crew is from the north blue like Sanji and they have Bepo, they don't like it but they get it, Now the Kid Pirates ?!! The rough violent and over all uncouth punks ? Those they don't understand, cause if Sanji wanted loud and stupid he has that right in the Sunny.
I like the idea of Lawsan being endgame, but Sanji having some fun with the Kid Pirates as a reset before he gets into an actual relationship again. Specially with Kid and Killer ;).
Killer and Kid decide to take Law's comment about how they "can probably sleep with the cook seriously" and try to romance the hell out of him, they dress up and take him on a casual dinner date.
Everything is going great but then Killer reaches out for Sanji's had and Sanji just starts tearing up, and then worse he starts apologising, they were prepared for rejection, not this. So sanji explains he's actually really happy, he's always wanted to have a nice date like this he just wishes he had the chance to do it sooner, and he just bursts out about how hard the break up has been.
Kid never a man to waste an opportunity suggest Sanji spend some time with the Kid pirates, they were meaning to ask for a crash course in seafaring nutrition so why not , no pressure to do anything else , just come over teach and enjoy some time away.
They weren't expecting Sanji to take them up on the offer but he actually does.
The Strawhats are nervous this is the first steps of Sanji fully leaving the crew , Zoro and Luffy are devastated. The entire time Sanji is gonna they are stressed beyond belief having nightmares about Sanji leaving the crew for good, crying in each others harms hoping they haven't fucked up that bad.
When Sanji comes back he looks well rested and a lot more relaxed, all the Strawhats are extremely happy to see him. Kid slaps his ass as he is walking away from his crew and before someone can relive him of his hand Sanji turns back and actually smirks and blows them a kiss.
Sanji is happier after that , not at 100% but definitely well on the road to healing.
I love this, anon, I fucking love it. Like after the break up and after hearing Law say they have a shot at least sleeping with the guy. Like Kid sees the way Law is actually worried for the cook, Killer heard them talk in their home dialects whenever the Supernovas get together, they see the way Law has always been soft on the guy.
But they're still going to fucking do their best.
Like Kid and Killer ask the cook on a casual date and Sanji agrees with confusion. Zoro and Luffy are locked in the submarine as they yell their opposition by Robin as she smiles at the visiting captain and vice and promising she'll get Sanji presentable. Kid and Killer are confused about how the man could get any more presentable, Bepo is whispering something to a bright red Law. Nami winks at them all and pulls Sanji away as Kid tells Robin a time and place. Usopp is actively praying, Jimbe is looking at Franky who is nodding and telling stories of what he's seen people do as Chopper suggests Kid and Killer also go get ready. And they leave.
"You think this going to be like Luffy and Zoro all over again?" Usopp asks after the trio are all off deck to get ready for the date.
"If he wanted loud and annoying, he could just get back with them." Law points out.
"Nah, they'll treat Cook-bro better." Franky assures the two younger men.
"I dare to think of what will become of them if they don't." Robin smiles before disappearing to help Nami.
"Is she going to release them?" Jimbe asks.
"Probably after Sanji leaves for his date." Chopper answers.
"Maybe they'll get lucky and not bring him home." Bepo says making all eyes land on him.
"I'm scared for them, Zeff is terrifying." Usopp says after a few beats as Jimbe nods and tells a few stories of Zeff he's heard.
Later, when the three of them are meeting up at a restaurant Kid and Killer dressed nicer than they usually do and Sanji is dressed slightly down, a nice button up and slacks, but no tie or coat, sleeves are rolled up near his elbow and the men are staring at his forearms and waist before gathering their senses and going in to eat.
The dinner is good, the banter and conversation fun and engaging. They're there for longer than expected before they realize they should pay and leave, Kid leaves a decent tip before they leave while Sanji stacks dishes like he's used to. They walk around and at some point Killer just grabs Sanji's hand making the man freeze.
The Captain and Vice look confused until tears start falling and Sanji is trying to reassure them he's fine he's just not used to this as he gestures at everything and with how hard it's been after the break up and his exes attitudes.
"Okay, we don't have to do anything. You wanna come to the Victoria Punk and just do some cooking lessons?" Kid asks and Sanji blinks.
"And you won't be mad?" Sanji asks hesitantly.
"Holy shit they were bad. Yes, come on, you need a fucking break." Kid almost growls as they head to the docks. Sanji is led to the kitchen while Killer grabs the crew much to everyone's confusion.
The explanation given is understood immediately and they all take to Sanji's lessons with great aplomb. He's offered a guest bed as it gets later and to their surprise, he takes it. He gives another cooking lesson in the morning. Everyone keeps asking questions and keeping him entertained and Sanji has never had such an attentive audience and it lasts for a few days. Sanji has somehow produced a complete spiral bound cookbook for them with everything hand written in it.
"No one will ever be good enough, will they?" Dive asks.
"No, we're all fucked." Kid agrees. "I'm still going to try to get him to sleep with us." Dive just looks up at him and wishes him luck before going back to the lessons.
When they bring him back to the Sunny, Luffy and Zoro looking practically feral but Sanji looks way more rested and happy. Kid and Killer are basically glaring at the idiots as Law narrows his eyes at the pair. Sanji starts walking up the gang plank and the very blatant slap on the cook's ass almost makes Zoro and Luffy jump him but Sanji winks at him before getting on deck and heading to the galley. Law, Robin, and Nami joining him after they make sure the duo don't run after Kid and Killer and giving them a thorough tongue lashing.
They tell him about the antics and how the two were so worried about Sanji leaving the crew and Zeff killing them and shit. How many repairs Franky had to do and how annoying they were but they're all glad he had fun and is back. Robin and Nami go make sure the idiots have calmed down but they give him hugs before hand, Law just stays and hears about his time on the Victoria Punk. Law wonders if he's leaving the sex out.
He wonders for years about it.
"Did you ever have sex with Kid and Killer?" Law asks, now in his forties.
"A gentleman never kisses and tells, dear." Sanji smirks.
"So that's why you and Robin talk about your sex lives?" Law pans making Sanji laugh.
"Maybe I did, what are you going to do about?" Sanji teases.
"Fucking better is what I'm going to do." Law growls as he drags his husband to their room in the restaurant on the All Blue. Sanji laughs the whole way.
