"Showgirl" hits the magic number in a landmark moment for the marketplace.

You already knew that Taylor Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl (Republic), had surpassed Adele's 2015 total to become the top-debuting album of all time. What remained uncertain, until moments ago, was whether it would hit the 4m mark.

Well, she's done it. Our first-week total for Showgirl is a smidge over, at just about 4.005m.
