Do you have any facts (cursed or blessed) about garter snakes in southern Ohio? I just found one under my grandma's car and it was so LITTLE and CUTE

like most temperate snakes, garter snakes hibernate during the winter! but they’re a little unusual in that they tend to do it with several hundred of their closest friends. (who might not even be the same species!) 

a den of garter snakes will bed down together in the fall, and then they all wake up together around the same time after the spring thaw and stick their little heads up out of the ground to check if the coast is clear before they make a mad dash for cover! it’s STUPID adorable, is what I’m saying here
