sometimes it really just boils down to the fact that i think the vegan movement is a response to people realizing industrial agriculture is broken and harmful beyond belief (yes!) but instead of like. pushing for better welfare or supporting local food systems or advocating for food sovereignty its all focused on personal choices. thinking that if lots of people not eating animal products is going to restructure the entire agricultural economy (no!) when that ultimately does nothing to improve these systems or improve welfare for animals or people it just results in uh meatless mcdonalds burgers and dairy free starbucks lol

YES i’m a postgrad statistics researcher and i can tell you that the state honestly has NO IDEA what to do with the data it collects, it has an obsession with big data but it’s almost impossible to work with in practice. the traditional statistical approaches that are used can’t be scaled up, the adapted approaches are substantially weakened, and the machine learning approaches have the same problems and often tell them nothing. data scientists are only just coming around to these issues too, most still just push on with it anyway - incompetence is the word. above all this though, like you say, the biggest issue for the state is at the point of data collection. they will NEVER get anything useful if they’re collecting shitty messy data. they will eventually figure out that the real solution is working how to collect accurate and meaningful data, we should make it as difficult as possible for them to do that

WhatCampaign replaces analytics parameters in links with the string “FuckOff”. I thought there was a similar extension that used random strings, but I can’t seem to find it

I’ve been asked a couple times, and put down upon mind you, why I choose to write the way I do. 

“Cole, do you even speak like you write? pffff” -said the alot.

Does anyone?  How the translation from the ear/voice to the muscles in the hand, and then to the eyes as a means of vocal or written expression takes place, I am not familiar. 

I will say however, that I adapt my language and rhetoric based on the company or the thoughts I’m then surrounded with, which I assume everyone does to some extent. When you text, do you spell out every word? or do you find new abbreviations for such?  If so, do you speak those abbreviations in public?  This translation happens more than one would think. 

Next time you’re surrounded by your closest friends, keep track of the language you use.  Then compare its form to that which you speak in front of colleagues, teachers, co-workers, elders, etc.  Do they honestly take similar form?  Experience says no. 

My point is that, depending on the audience, one should have the ability to create a performance which will yield the greatest rewards. (unless of the course, the opposite is sought after)

Language is important, especially when it is your own.  Don’t belittle your own thoughts with poor prose, embolden them with only the greatest of grammar.

Geoff was never, at any point, aware of RH's activities or involved. His silence up until now has been out of pain and horror, not guilt

During he and Griffon's separation, they attempted to sustain the marriage with polyamory. This was completely open and consentual and done in a very mature fashion- he never engaged in anything that she wasn't aware of at any point in their relationship

During that period, and the time after the separation, Geoff attempted to date online. He did end up interacting with several women who were familiar with RT and Achievement Hunter. They were all consenting adults, and Geoff ended up changing his approach to deter possible fans later on because he found the dynamic uncomfortable.

All in all, his story seems in line with OP's backtracking, and there's really no evidence to oppose this being anything but a reach to stoke drama. Believe what you want, I suppose, but I'm inclined to take Geoff's side on this one.
