Anyone else peg Joseph for the tortured artist type? I’m not sure if this headcanon was already discussed before I got into the fandom. Is it said anywhere that he illustrated the book of Joseph?

To my knowledge, we were never told who is supposed to have illustrated The Book of Joseph (we don’t even know who wrote it in real life or if it’s canon) but I think it could be Joseph himself too!

I mean, we've seen him write/scribble a lot already. He does it frantically in "The Baptism" (live-action trailer):

He also writes something in a notebook in Inside Eden's Gate:

And, in Far Cry New Dawn, there are sheets of paper everywhere on the bedroom walls inside Dutch's bunker. In that game, he also rewrote The Word of Joseph, Eden's Gate's sacred book, entirely by hand.

Even though the canonicity of the trailer, the short film, and the "sequel" is debatable, I think it suits Joseph well and that it's not too much of a stretch to imagine that he draws too. At least, I really like the idea that he does :)
