The Beyond Van Gogh exhibit was amazing! Being completely immersed in his paintings was such an incredible feeling, and I learned so much about him and the meanings of his works. Happy Birthday Steph! I’m glad we got to do this together! #vangogh #vangoghexperience (at Van Gogh Charleston) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg-3YFssR6SapnyZmyikfgsPhjWoIfVLte6SIo0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈
So, there's apparently research coming out now about microplastics being found in people's bloodstreams and the possible negative effects of that and I feel the need to get out ahead of the wave of corporate sponsored "be sure to recycle your bottles!" or "ban glitter!" campaigns and remind everyone: It's fishing nets. It's fishing nets. It is overwhelming fishing nets It always has been fishing nets. Unless regulations are changed, it will continue to be fishing nets. The plastic in the ocean in largely discarded nets from industrial fishing. The microplastics are the result of these nets breaking down. The "trash islands" are also, you guessed it. Mostly fishing nets and other discarded fishing industry equipment. Do not allow them to continue to twist the story. Do not come after disabled people who require single use plastics. Do not come after people using glitter in art projects and makeup. These things make up a negligible amount of the issue compared to corporate waste, specifically in the fishing industry. Do not let them shift the blame to the individual so they can continue to destroy the planet and our bodies without regulation.
I am a Wanda Maximoff apologist first and a human being second thank you very much

Aid Access supports women who cannot otherwise access an abortion or miscarriage treatment and protects their human rights.
Oh wouldn’t this be tragic if word of this spread out everywhere possible?
Oh no…my hand slipped…
Remember if you live somewhere where this is an option you need, you need to be keeping a healthy stock of pregnancy tests and using them regularly to catch the pregnancy early enough. It is incredibly common for people to only find out well past 10 weeks. Of course that can be expensive so look for the paper strip type that doctors use, not the bulky plastic types typically advertised for home use if you can. And dont fall for marketing gimmicks with pregnancy tests, they all work about the same, you don’t need a digital screen and if in doubt do another test tomorrow.
(Also do your test first thing when you wake up for best results)
I would HATE for anyone in Texas to ACCIDENTALLY read this…
The dollar store carries pregnancy tests and they’re just as accurate as the ones from the pharmacy, fyi
Idaho might soon have a copycat of the texas law (it’s on hold while the idaho supreme court reviews it) so this is a good idea.
Also for ppl in the treasure valley, planned parenthood is opening a location just across the border in Ontario. Feel free to dm me if you need a ride, I will drive you to planned parenthood. I go to Ontario fairly regularly because my goat vet is there.
This made me think of all the “rules of etiquette” that my parents and grandparents generation always tried to drill into us but when we asked “why?” all they could answer was “because it’s polite”
So I looked up how these rules got started
-Don’t wear a hat inside: Medieval knights were more vulnerable if they removed their helmets. Because of this, removing it in a church or in the presence of royalty felt like a respectful act of humility. It’s rude to wear a hat indoors because 1500 years ago some soldiers wanted to show God and King that they trusted them not to stab them in the head
-Don’t put your elbows on the table: In the middle ages European royalty didn’t have dining tables in their banquet halls, they used a long board balanced on trestles and covered it with a table cloth. If you leaned on the table it would unbalance and topple. People are still telling kids not to put their elbows on the table because 1500 years ago some nobles didn’t want to be embarrassed by knocking over a make-shift table and ruining a feast
-Men should pull out a woman’s chair for her: There were several periods in Western history when fashion for high society women was so restrictive that they literally couldn’t bend over when dressed for dinner. Men are told it’s polite to pull out a woman’s chair because women used to have to wear clothing that made it impossible to do that herself
So some dipshits decided to do a thing 1500 years ago and more modern day dipshits decided to keep that ball rolling
Oof, wait till you learn about religion?!
No gay has all 5:
- A job
- Good relationship with father
- Neurotypical brain
- Ability to top
- Driver’s license
this is a fun post because people will say how many they have in the tags then you get to figure out which ones.
This exact holiday combo post can only happen once every 33 years.
