mediamogai is an archive of MOGAI+ terms and flags that have to do with nonspecific media! this means terms and flags that are related to media without being related to a specific piece of media.

for example, things related to all music or pop music would appear here, but things related to specific pop artists or specific pop songs would not.

we do not archive things that are related to specific pieces of media unless they are also related to more general media. if we are tagged in posts that do not fit our archive, we will either let you know the post is outside of our scope, or ignore it.

these are the general flags for these terms, the intentions for more specific terms (guidelines on how to recolor the flag) are:

center circles + music note represent the song

top+bottom 3 stripes on mushippen / horizontal stripes on mushipic represent the ship/characters within the ship

All terms for when you only use a particular gendered word within the context of music (lyrics, song titles, etc.) Could also be used for actually experiencing the gender but mostly related to words: for example, there are a LOT of songs with "girl" in the title that I love to the point where I call myself a girl because of them but I'm not actually a girl.

Of course, use them however you want. You could replace the words boy, enby, and girl with man, enban, woman, masc, neu, fem, etc, or make your own flags for that.

Authorgirl: someone who identifies as both an author and a girl, feels their girlhood is important to their authorial identity, and/or vice versa. Or, a girl that feels their girlhood has been authored in some way; created and published, oft in writing. Mayhaps the girl is the one doing the authoring.

For @mantra-repeated's women's history month event! Day 4's coining prompt is: literature, movie production, and/or fashion. This is only really tangentially related, but I didn't have any other ideas. The experience part of the event's question is: What is your favorite thing about being a girl? That's a really hard question, and not really one I have an answer to... I suppose I like the sense of community it brings. Seeing other women succeed and accomplish great things. It's also always a fun little surprise finding out other coiners on here are girls as well. Though, suppose that's not really me being a girl, is it? My favorite part of being a girl is... Well, it's just fun. Haha. I like being a girl just for the sake of being a girl. Suppose not quite the answer anyone's looking for, but... It's the one I've got!
