HPV Vaccine Awareness
HPV(Human Papilloma virus) is a group of more than 100-200 related viruses which can cause various diseases like genital warts and cancer.
CANCER is the majorly reported disease by HPV.
The rates of Cervical cancer are the highest. The symptoms are not visible at early stages.
Certain symptoms of cervical cancer includes:
Pelvic pain while intercourse.
Vaginal watery discharge with foul odor.
Vaginal bleeding after intercourse or periods.
Also the risk of HPV increases when a person has STI's like chlamydia, gonorrhea, AIDS, syphilis etc. as the immune system is already weak and the onset of HPV worsens the immune system.
HPV VACCINE:
This vaccine is available for children and adults aging from 9-45 years .The dosage period differs in children and adults.
Children from 9-15 years need only two doses while adults from 15-45 years need three subsequent doses.
Currently the vaccine forms includes VLPs(virus like particles) formed from surface components of HPV.
According to the analysis by cancer.gov the diagnoses of anogenital warts decreased by 31% among women aged 25–29 years, by 48% among boys aged 15–19 years, and by 32% among men aged 20–24 years, compared with the period before vaccination began.
No serious side effects of these vaccines are observed. Pain or soreness at the injection site is just the side effect or post vaccination effect observed.
WOMEN should take the HPV vaccines as in current times the cervical cancer is the most painful and deadly cancer. This vaccine helps in preventing the cervical cancer.
AWARENESS OF HPV VACCINES SHOULD BE SPREAD.
