A Strange Thing Among Flowers [Koro-sensei]
@idohopeyoucankillme
Potemkin had bought himself a cheap sketchbook and pencils, something to occupy his time. It would have been nice if he had a full set of paints and canvas, but that wasn't something he could afford at the moment. The spring feverish landscape had so many beautiful colors--the flower festival, even more so. It was a shame, but also a personal goal to work towards.
Sitting in front of a bushel of flowers, he carefully sketches the hydrangeas, a small smile on his face. There were little worries in breaking the pencil, even if it wasn't one of his specially made ones, with his reduced strength. It was nice.
And then something really strange walks by and stands in his way, though seemingly intentionally. It was far taller than he was, at that. It didnât seem harmful, either, and perhaps it was just a man in a costume.
âExcuse me but, I would like to ask you to move. You are blocking the flowers I am trying to draw.âÂ
A Rest Among Nature [Bolin]
fireferretfighter
Potemkin had been walking around the city for some time, and considering his decreased strength and the weight of his body, his endurance just couldnât keep the same pace.Â
The park he had found himself in was nice--the green sector, as he understood, was where he ended up. It was beautiful, and found himself admiring the change of scenery as he carefully sat down on the end of the bench, hoping to leave just enough room between him and the young man already sitting there. It creaked until he settled, but it somehow managed to keep up.Â
âIâm not sure what I expected from this place, but itâs nice to know something like this exists.â he doesnât particularly face the other, but his voice carries enough to be heard clearly.Â
Hostile_(?)_Encountered [Ramlethal]
Such a large, imposing figure was difficult to miss. Unlike many of the other strange beings sheâd seen in the city, of which sheâd observe from afar or outright ignore, she approached him first. Unlike all the others, he was familiar.
He went by Potemkin, if the Valentine recalled correctly. One of the strongest warriors, in terms of brute strength, from Zepp. At this level of strength, Ramlethal had no real chance against his unrestricted power. However, she could easily assume that if she had been limited, so had he. As such, the Valentine stood before him with no worry.
But it seemed he was not here for battle. No, he merely spoke, and his words cut through much better than any strike could. The Valentine looked down for a moment before answering his question.
ââŠMy purpose in our world was complete. Motherâs words do not reach me here. But I am still her tool. As such, I will gain power and prepare this world for her control, should it be necessary.â She glared back up at the armored soldier. âWhat you do is not my business, unless you choose to get in my way.â
Potemkin wasnât sure if any further words could get to her. Loyalty was admirable--something he held higher than he could reach, personally--but her loyalty was something with dire consequence. He bends down on one knee, taking off his helmet and setting it onto his thigh, a hand resting on top of it.Â
Leveling with her, though blank eyes cannot convey much, he felt it important he show her his face when speaking of such matters as he was about to.Â
âYou are free from her influence. Free of purpose, as we had agreed on. But is there nothing you want to do, of your own volition? Nothing you desire out of your new found freedom?â his voice was still loud as he could not help, but noticeably softer.Â
D i s t r e s s S i g n a l - Open/Intro
ââ § Even with her own height, the woman has to crane her neck to look eye to eye with the manâŠand notes his white eyes. So, it was a suit of armor, more or less. He wasnât a statue. Whether or not he was human remained unseen, though. ââ § âRipley.â She eyes his hand, squinting for a moment. A giant metal gauntlet didnât quite seem like something she wanted to put her hands in. For what itâs worth, she does hold out her own hand and grasp his index finger, giving it a small shake, and return it to her side.
ââ § âSo long as it doesnât directly involve me, you can test what you want.â
âIt wonât, I promise you.â Potemkin slams his gauntlets together, the aluminum denting easily. âWhat a shoddy replacement.â he mumbles, taking them off and letting them fall to the ground. He twists and cracks his wrists one at a time--hands only slightly smaller than the gauntlets he wore before.Â
He stretches, readying himself to lift it. From the moment he stood he knew something was off--he felt heavier than normal, and it was far too easy to not break the doorâs tiny knob.Â
Putting his hands beneath the car, he starts to lift it, little by little, but only nearly on itâs side. Was that all he could really do? It was a bit of a struggle, as well. He lets go, flinching from his carelessness as it slams back into the ground.Â
âThatâs a huge downgrade.â he whispers, staring down at his hands in disbelief. He clenches his fists and stares upwards, grinning slightly nervously. There was so much he couldnât accidentally break now, but there was so much less he couldnât do to protect everyone, also.Â
He turns back to Ripley, still slightly smiling with mild but wrongful excitement and trying to get it to go away. Â
âAlright. Now that thatâs settled, which way do you think we should head first?â he picks up the gauntlets and holds them by his side.Â
â(That canât be anything good...) Everyone! Please remain calm and stay near shelter and safety, should anything bad come of this!â
D i s t r e s s S i g n a l - Open/Intro
ââ § She very nearly flinched at the voice, looking around for a moment until she realized that theâŠmetal form next to her wasnât just a statue. That wasâŠthere was a person in there? She would have considered it to be some type of suit, like the ones she was used to, but the metal parts seemed more on the hands, feet, and head areas. Just guessing wildly, she would have to assume it was more combat-based, or built for heavy lifting and the like, not for mere protection. Interesting, if not mildly intimidating. ââ § âThat so?â Ripley stands a little more upright, monitoring her own voice in an attempt to keep it from shaking.Â
ââ § âI wouldnât mind that. You got a name?â
She didnât seem to think his voice was coming from him--it was hard to tell how how he sounded beneath the helmet from his perspective. Seeing as it wasnât a hostile situation, he took it off as he stood up straight; it was important he made the other as comfortable with him as possible, considering the situation they were in. As well as wanting to avoid being mistaken for a robot. Again.Â
âI would be more than glad to be of help. My name is Potemkin. And yours?â he offers a hand, one finger the width of her own. And despite making eye contact with the other, Ripley would find his eyes were completely white, making it difficult to tell he was even doing so.Â
âIf you donât mind, Iâd like to test something before we begin searching.âÂ
â Sizable ;
He was huge. Compared to her height and his, he could step on her and crush her if she wasnât too careful. Pointing at him with awe in her voice, she exclaimed the predicate of his size, âY.. ur huge! Wut teh hell!â Even Ebisu, who saw herself as someone quite important in this worldâs development, couldnât help but find herself a tad bit terrified when standing next to him. Hesitantly scooting closer to him in order to see if he was a robot of sorts, she hit his stomach with her fist, although not too roughly that it would turn into a punch. At that moment, she shook, âHard as rock!â
Perhaps if she pleaded for him to spare her, she would be able to get away with living for one more day? Sure, she had Kikurage, but itâd be painful to be flattened like a pancake. Gulping down her pride, she tried to appear brave, jokingly so to get the other off guard and seem more chummy with him. Holding her mitten covered hand to her maskâs mouth, she spoke, âIf you donât step on me.. I swear I will do whatever you ask. Kekeke.â
âThat is correct, I am indeed massive.â he replies calmly, looking down to the child below him. She seemed to be struck with awe, so Potemkin treated her to a pose, flexing his arms with confidence.Â
He watched as she nervously scooted forward, keeping still as to not alarm her. Blinking a couple times and tilting his head as she tapped his abs. She really was curious, wasnât she?
And then came the usual assumption, so he crouches down to get on her level, and takes off his helmet. A gesture to ease any fear she might have, as actions are more convincing than words, a lot of the time. Maybe she would follow suit, as he was very interested in whether that was her real face or not.Â
âI promise Iâm not going to step on you. Thereâs no need for you to bribe me.â though his eyes were completely white, they seemed soft and gentle, curved by a small smile.Â
âłâœ~? ((Your Bigby is fantastic so far btw I'm really excited about you bein' here!!))

That sure was one hefty suit of armor. Definitely a getup that topped the Black Knightâs duds. Ever the lovable sarcastic fiend, he has no choice but to comment to his own desire.Â
â. . You compensatinâ for somethinâ by wearinâ all that?â
âThis is only a uniform. I do not have much to compensate for.â Potemkin replied in utmost seriousness. It will take more effort on Bigbyâs part to bother him. âAdditionally, some of what Iâm wearing actually restricts my strength.â Though the innuendo part, flew straight over his head.Â
40, 45
40. How is their sense of humor? Do they have one?
Potemkinâs sense of humor isâŠwellâŠ
Heâs really bad at it. He tends to be very reserved when somebody tells a joke and âsighâ laughs at a lot of them. Itâs rare for him to fully laugh, and even more rare for him to tell a joke, and if he does tell one, the reason people laugh is how awkwardly it was delivered. He tries, he really does. Itâs not that he doesnât enjoy a good joke, though a particularly bad one might get him really going.Â
Mun likes to think his full laugh is a big ol guffaw!Â
45. Is your character pragmatic? Think first? Responsible? All action? A visionary? Passionate? Quixotic?
Potemkin is definitely pragmatic, though is willing to take risks should there be no other option, or should it be a very time sensitive moment. Act fast when needed, think when the opportunity presents itself. However, sometimes it can cause him unnecessary injury.Â
21!
21. What are your characterâs manners like? What is their type of hero? Whom do they hate?
Potemkin tends to be very formal and polite, and it takes him a bit to get out of that formality habit with friends.Â
His type of hero is, well, what he aspires to be and is. Someone who doesnât give up, protects those who cannot protect themselves, and does it all straight from the heart!Â
Potemkin hates people who pick on those who are weaker than them, threaten humanity or his home in general, and those that do things selfishly or use dirty tactics.Â
