I'M RISING TO THE CHALLENGE BY TAKING PART IN THE VINNIES CEO SLEEPOUT! On Thursday 19th June (yes you read it right... BUSINESS IN HEELS - A MASSIVE SUCCESS! This week, I attended my very first Business in Heels event which coincidently was the handover event from the previous owner to me and I must say.... it was probably the VERY BEST networking event I have EVER attended! The venue, The Attic Bar, The ArtHouse Hotel, provided such a lovely space with delicious platters and canapes. Our speaker, Suzy Jacobs, Founder and Chief Inspiration Officer of SHE Business shared fantastic tips for life and business - in an extremely entertaining fashion - and the ladies who attended absolutely blew my mind with how open they were to meeting, chatting, supporting one another and enjoying the evening. Whilst this is what the concept is all about, so often you go to 'networking events' and everyone stands in their clicks which makes it really hard to break in and meet new people but that was NOT the case with our amazing attendees which made me so so happy : ) I look forward to bringing everyone details on our April event this coming week. We are thrilled to announce that Melissa Park Events has just been contracted to manage the Sydney General Practitioners Conference & Exhibition (GPCE) Gala Dinner being held on Saturday 24 May at the Sydney Showground. "I was employed by the show organisers, Reed Exhibitions, from 2005 - 2008 and during this time, GPCE was one of the first large-scale events I ever coordinated. AIME Survival Kit On arrival to my room at the PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport tonight I found the cutest little gift... An AIME Survival Kit containing a Berroca Twist N Go to give me a boost, a bottle of water to keep my cool and hydrated, an eye patch to rest my weary eyes, a map of Melbourne to help me find my way around and a muesli bar to keep my energy levels up. Whilst we are used to being a little spoilt by industry suppliers, and I would never say no to a lovely box of handcrafted chocolates or bottle of my favourite wine, it was so nice to receive something so quirky and practical. My Recent Ah Ha Moment!

I saw an advertisement for what has always been my DREAM EVENTS JOB yesterday. Whilst the idea of it excited me for a second as it's been my absolute without a doubt number one goal role since I was a little girl, when I actually sat and considered my options, it only took a couple of minutes to realise that the thought of what's to come for Melissa Park Events in 2014 and beyond is so much more exciting. What a perfect way to end the year, knowing you are doing exactly what you are meant to be and couldn't be happier! YAY!!

We just got back from collecting all of our corporate Christmas gifts so it's going to be a fun afternoon of packaging and card writing : )

I can't wait to spill the beans on what we are giving our amazing clients this year. Like last year, I couldn't resist and bought myself one too - they were just too cute ha ha ha. All will be revealed at the end of next week once they've been sent out and received.

One month until lift-off - USA here I come again : )

I am super excited that it's only one month today until I leave for the USA!

Stops for this trip include Los Angeles, New York City, Nashville, Boston, San Francisco and Hawaii.

I can't wait to spill the beans on several little facts I'm keeping a secret until we get closer to my departure date... It's going to be an AMAZING trip!!
