U don’t even know about the gentle moment my ocs shared that one time in my mind

Hey Critical Role fans, I need help! I'm doing a big project for one of my classes on Caleb Widogast, his trauma, and his growth throughout his character arc. PLEASE comment with your top Caleb Widogast moments, particularly those that are important to his character arc or that you think would be helpful for an assignment like this.

For the sake of my sanity, I'm only using content from Campaign 2, ep 1-141, NOT any of the epilogue episodes or Campaign 3. Also his origins comic, since I already have it. I'd go through everything myself, but that's 500+ hours of content, and I'm a full-time grad student with a part-time job. I trust my fellow critters, though. Thanks everyone!

“Something has you up this late,” Calipha starts, leading her gently into conversation. “Would you like to share?”

The tears threaten to resurface, and Zenith can’t look at him in the eyes. “Calipha, I-I trust you a lot. I have something that I need to get off my chest, but can you promise you won’t think any lesser of me?”

“Zenith.” He smiles, and she can hear it in his voice. “There is so little that could make me think lesser of you. I am loyal to you, just as you are to me, and we are to Erubo. Please, speak your mind. It won’t change anything.”

She’s still looking down at the table, and her eyes flicker down to the toy. It looks back up at her with empty eyes, a crudely-stitched smile on its face.

Baba had added the smile after she’d told him her friend looked sad.

“I miss them sometimes,” she says, and she’s silently begging that she won’t have to say who, that he’ll understand like he always does. “That’s—that’s stupid, right? I shouldn’t, I don’t know why I do—“

“It’s not stupid,” Calipha interrupts her, reaching across the table to rest a hand on hers, ever so gently. “They’re your parents, Zenith.”
