QAQ I had a bit of radio silence going on and came back to see this!!! 💖 There are no words for how much I am screaming right now!!! ;~; This is so beautiful and I love it so much~! 💖💖💖
They don’t care about the public’s opinion anymore??? Are you shitting me??? Isn't America supposed to be a democracy where the people have a say in the future of this country?? They say they won’t listen to opinions anymore.
GUYS PUMP OUT COLD HARD FACTS. I’LL BE WRITING AN EMAIL TO THE HEAD SCUMBAG HIMSELF WITH SOME COLD HARD FACTS. I SUGGEST YOU GUYS DO THE SAME!!!
ps: i know I’m being obnoxious with all the unnecessary punctuation and all caps but i need to get the message across.
edit: someone asked for a source so here: https://www.theverge.com/2017/11/22/16689838/fcc-net-neutrality-comments-were-largely-ignored
I absolutely agree with rephrasing the letters and redoubling efforts but as cathartic as it is to send letters directly to Ajit Pai, it’s misdirecting useful energy. He is about as anti-net neutrality as it is physically possible to be and even if you are a lawyer and you send perfectly phrased legalese to him, he is not going to change his position. The key here is to send messages to people that can potentially be swayed.

These are the other commissioners of the FCC. Please, aside from your senators and representatives, email these people and let them hear your voice.
(x) This is a link to the leadership page for the FCC, under each name is a tab where you can email them directly, please take the time to do so if you can.
FYI, I had a couple of posts tagged net neutrality scheduled to go out over the last couple days but they somehow never showed up? I’m suspicious now that they’re being censored. Keep an eye out for this.
this literally just happened i’ll post the screen cap in second
here’s the post @lioness–hart just put up
here’s what happened when i tried to reblog
Error Code: OCP02 [Post Not Found] does this violate current net neutrality itself? like censoring posts like this …
It sure does. Big companies have been censoring content and voices for years, but without net neutrality they’ll basically be getting paid to do it en masse. It’ll get way worse way fast.
I’m italian but who knows what would happen to ANY of us if those voltures will actually kill net neutrality, -and taking it very personally I’ll lose my small commissions job and will have no more bucks, because it’s already hard to find a job in a place already fucked up like Italy, not to mention WE ALL will lose our humble little business here-
I’ll send a message too for my part, and let’s meke sure those jerks will receive the worst for what they’re doing -hacking their pc and turn the porn they’re watching PUBLIC, shaming them, boicotting their companies and such- so, dear corporations and greedy bastards
FUCK YOU!

So, Undertale Won the Playstation Indie Development Award Last Night
And this time, Toby Fox was actually there to accept it.
I see he went all out for this award. A nice tie, smart jacket, and claws. Yes, the very height of fashion.
@everyone
(help i started this in january)
i made an adhd tag urself thing!! i’m all of them except cryptid :D
anyone can reblog if they relate!! if you find a lot of them are relatable and you’ve not thought about adhd before then it might be worth checking out :) it was a tumblr post i that made me research and stuff and, contrary to the daily mail, it’s super underdiagnosed. check out @actuallyadhd‘s self diagnosis page for more info!

okay, i don’t hate kids. i think they’re sort of funny. i like that you can talk to them like an adult and they’ll make sounds like they understand. i taught one kid “phosphorescence” and he looked at me and said, “they could just call it glowing if it means something that glows.” the kid undid the entire science community in one sentence.
but i hate kids.
or really, i hate how they’ve always been expected from me.
when i was five i was given “babies.” i hated the hardness of dolls, disposed of them for dramatic stories between stuffed animals. i knew how to wrap, feed, and care for a baby before i could spell my last name. when i was nine i was already “watching the kids”. i was only four years older than my cousins were. i wanted to go out and play. instead i was expected to have responsibility. by the time i was thirteen all of my friends had told me about how many children they were going to have in their twenties.
my hips were “child-bearing” hips. my brother was a scientist, or a fireman, or a steamroller. i was going to make a good housewife, or mom, or nanny, or mom, or mom, or mom.
and when my body hurt, i was told it wasn’t really my body, not really, it belonged to my future children. i couldn’t cut or snip or tie anything; i was trapped by the potential energy that hung above me. a boulder, threatening. i couldn’t get tattoos, because what would i tell my children? i couldn’t kiss a girl, because what would i tell the children? i couldn’t be risky or wild or anything but a lady, because what about the children?
and when i said “i don’t want children” - not biologically, at least, not when cancer and depression and a whole other host of terrible things lives inside me - do you know what they said? “it’ll change, wait and see” “it’s not bad” “you’ll get used to it” “when you meet the right man” “you don’t want to be lonely”.
i don’t hate kids. i’m great with them.
but then i’m told again that my life will be forfeit to them - something in me snaps angry. “wait until you have kids” “you should travel before you have children” “you’ll be more happy.”
i hate kids! i’ve snarled. i don’t mean it at all. but god. please, leave me alone. i don’t want to be a biological mom.
it’s like we’re born with a uterus and told “this is your whole life. your singular purpose. your job.”
i want to be my own purpose. not here for the sake of passing genes on.
This sums up everything I’ve ever felt about societal expectation of motherhood.
Giuseppe Penone’s hand is so strong, it can squeeze trees. I’m talking about his bronze sculpture of a hand, of course. This Italian artist installed it onto a tree in Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas, in 1968, and it’s even more spectacular after many decades have passed.
The “Continuerà a crescere tranne che in quel punto” (“It Will Continue to Grow Except at this Point”) was made from a cast of the artist’s actual hand and lower arm. Giuseppe attached in onto a sapling, and throughout the years the tree would thicken around the metal. Now, it looks like that hand is stretching the bark with its fingers. (Source)
holy fuck..
The FCC will soon vote to kill net neutrality. But Congress can stop them if they hear from constituents now.
Yesterday afternoon the House subcommittee that provides Congressional oversight for the FCC held an important hearing about the agency’s current plans, including current Chairman (and former Verizon lawyer) Ajit Pai’s move to gut Title II net neutrality protections that prevent ISPs from controlling what we do online with throttling, censorship, and extra fees.
With Capitol Hill’s attention now on the FCC, and Pai’s final plan to gut net neutrality protections expected in the coming weeks, it’s extra important that Congress gets flooded with phone calls from Internet users telling them to stand up and defend the open Internet.
We’re also hearing there are key members of Congress considering whether to step in and force Pai to slow down. This means best chance to stop the FCC from breaking the fundamental principle that makes the Internet awesome is to pound Congress with phone calls right now.
You can call your reps easily with just one click here: battleforthenet.com
You’ll see a script on your screen, or you can say something like this:
“I support Title Two net neutrality rules and I urge you to oppose the FCC’s plan to repeal them. Specifically, I’d like you to contact the FCC Chairman and demand he abandon his current plan.”
You can also just call this number directly and enter your zipcode to get connected to your legislators: 202-930-8550.
If you run a website, blog, tumblr, or forum, help spread the word by putting up a sticky post, or use one of these widgets, ads, or banners: https://www.battleforthenet.com/#join
Ajit Pai is expected to circulate the text of his rule killing net neutrality on November 22, the day before Thanksgiving. Once that happens, it will move to a vote at the FCC’s open meeting in December, and it will become much much harder to stop him.
It’s clear that the FCC remains set on killing net neutrality. But Congress can stop the FCC from gutting the rules that keep the web open, affordable, and awesome.

I can’t stress enough how important this is. I rarely deviate from my surreal meme theme but this is something that can’t be ignored. This decision will affect the whole world!

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED
Tumblr doesn’t care about Net Neutrality anymore.
Let’s take a look at some screenshots of an article I was reading earlier today…
Keyword: was. They don’t support net neutrality anymore. Why you ask? well…
Tumblr is owned by Yahoo. Now that Verizon (a company that hates net neutrality) bought Yahoo, they have demanded that Tumblr must stop supporting net neutrality too. The Tumblr staff has stopped posting about net neutrality.
This site is being forced to hate net neutrality. (article link)
this is why all those net neutrality posts are disappearing from your feeds. don’t let it do so
Okay everyone stop what you’re doing and look at these cats right now
