Very serious and high quality f:tmp posts. your adaptation is in good hands. truly the spirit of Mary Shelley lives on in me.
My take on an Adam and Eve painting as an allegorical Dmitri Karamazov and Grushenka (mixed media).
I was hesitant about posting very blatant nudity, even if it's just artistic, on my main account, but I liked how it turned out and didn't want to gatekeep.
pulling yourself up by your strap-on or whatever they say
i like how the brothers karamazov's prose is not necessarily dense even if the story is loaded w/ themes. like that was actually surprising. obviously the prose is in the same level of embellishment as most mid 2 late 19th century novels in general but what it most reminds me of is telenovelas. the writing is almost sickeningly dramatic at times. characters r always wailing crying out gesticulating wildly grabbing the ppl they're speaking 2. it makes me imagine the scenes in my head in a made 4 tv 4:3 aspect ratio w/ the same sheen 2 the costuming n framing as a terra nostra or hilda furacão. so very delightful
its a battle every time i shower
hope you don't mind op
Here's some straight malarky for you guys
I think the reason so many people are so uncomfortable and outraged with destructive paraphilia being named as mental illnesses (despite being officially listed as such in the DSM-5/etc) is because it means they can't downplay mental illness as much if that's the truth. Society has this ridiculous view of mental illness as this silly little thing that makes you a little bit sad or erratic :(( !! And can't cope with the idea that your mind is capable of severely psychologically torturing itself and locking you inside of it, and that a lot of mental illness is like that. If pedophilia, or necrophilia, etc, are mental illnesses, BPD can't be your silly beautiful princess disorder anymore. Suddenly mental illness is a serious issue and suddenly western protestant ideas of morality where your entire existence is moral or immoral, rather than your voluntary actions, rather than what you choose to indulge in or do, "morality is what you are," come into play, and people feel threatened. Suddenly, if mental illness is serious, everyone who is mentally ill becomes evil and morally corrupt, but society has, shockingly, already become comfortable with seeking help for more socially acceptable mental illness, depression, anxiety, etc, and feels defensive taking it away. Then they lose their help. And we can't have that. Now, they need to draw a line and downplay the seriousness of whatever we're able to downplay.
It's the reason you see some mentally ill people go, "well I'm not really crazy! Like those fucking schizophrenics, I'm just having my silly grippy sock vacation because I was feewing a wittwe sad :)" People are desperate to preserve the idea that they're 'good people, unlike THOSE people', people are, on an anthropological level, desperate to prove their situation 'isn't that bad!' rather than be uncomfortable. Depression isn't just 'feeling sad', BPD isn't 'hot crazy', DID isn't 'the silly TikTok disorder', social anxiety isn't 'being awkward', OCD isn't 'being organised', as I'm sure I don't need to state on this website God willing, but these are all serious illnesses capable of being severe psychological torture to an individual, and society at large does not want to admit that. We want to believe that we are logical, that we understand everything, that our minds are flawless machines, but we are only capable of perceiving our minds THROUGH our minds, and if those minds are sick, it has the capability, in extreme cases, to be worse than any physical illness. There is a reason that people kill themselves, that we mightn't be able to solve with one vent session, or a bottle of pills, that we can't push away and forget about, that we can't laugh off and go on with our day, that might make us tired, change us, shape us. To treat mental illness means we must actually care about our fellow man. And that is something that society is terrified of.

The fastest way to accomplish The Project is to cease being afraid of The Project. The Project cannot maim you. The Project cannot kill you. The Project is more afraid of you than you are of it. It is okay if The Project turns out differently from how it was in your head, and it is okay if it has flaws. You are capable of engaging with The Project.
