wammy’s orphanage is a global child trafficking organization that traffics bright children (identified pseudoscientific 'intelligence measuring' methods rooted in eugenics*) from impoverished/colonialised/war torn countries to the colonists and grooms them into tools/agents of the state to do their bidding. they actively psychologically tortured these high special needs kids by pitting them against each other. also, what are the chances of the smartest kids from all over the world all being orphans? all of them? not one of them have one parent or a relative that could have taken care of them? how did they even measure iq in the fucking 90s and even before that? wammy must be some sort of nazi scientist that fled to uk because wtf

if light yagami and L both gave af about 'good' and 'evil', they should have actively tried to burn that institution down together and then return to the gay sex they were having or whatever tf it was they were doing all over my screen i don't remember i was too mad to give af

I wish we had more of an insight on what life was like in wammys house

In the original anime and manga wammys house it just mentioned and never brought up again, was it good? Was it bad? Who knows

But if you read LABB its the WORST place on earth, it literally brought a kid to suicide and another to become a serial killer

While i havent read L change the world fully, i have heard that wammys is portrayed as a very good place and watari is shown as an incredibly kind man

I feel like when it comes to fanfics and general fandom media about wammys its always in a slightly (OR VERY) negative light, and personally i think thats the more realistic answer

The fucking place was made to harbor the worlds next best detective, and normal school systems already insane, i cant even imagine what that orphanage mustve been like PLUS that place made mello and near so there must be something wrong with it
