So, recently thought up of an AU for CRK, don't have a story but I do have the basic gist of it
This is an AU called Fractured, starring the Beasts. Back in the past, when they were the Virtues, Fount knew their Soul Jams could still break, so he set a fail-safe, in case their Soul Jams did break, both body and Soul Jam would be safe, since if a Soul Jam breaks, the soul wouldn't be with the body.
The spell is simple, while the Soul Jam is broken and the body can't hold the full soul, the fractured piece would form a new body, at least if the fractured piece isn't restored in 24 hours, the new body is meant to protect the fractured piece, then the main body would be automatically teleported somewhere safe and hidden, in a comatose state.
A couple drawbacks though, for one, the fractured soul's body is weaker than the main, and the memories are also in pieces, so they may struggle with any magic they have without the memory of how to control said magic, plus the soul body wouldn't be like the Beasts, but closer to a common cookie, or a normal human in our case, but they do retain specific features, they also have personalities traits from pre-corruption and post-corruption
I unfortunately don't have all the human/common cookie designs down, only Shadow Milk's, I'll reboot as soon as I get the rest
Shadow Milk: His fractured souls name is Salem, his personality is more like Fount, but when he's comfortable enough, he'll have the mischievousness of Shadow Milk. If stressed out, or someone approaches him with a negative intention, his puppet strings would grab them and pull the person into the air, Salem has no idea how to turn that ability off, or if he even can, and at random times he'd say a random, highly detailed fact, and have no clue how he knew that. The accessory that holds his fractured piece is a necklace
Burning Spice: His fractured souls name is Bronx, his personality is much more destructive and aggressive like Burning Spice, but when he gets comfortable, he's more on the understanding side like Herald. If someone approaches him with negative intentions, a Spice Storm would be summoned and cause the person to either attack those with them, or harm themselves, he doesn't want to turn it off since he finds enjoyment in seeing the fighting. Silent Salt: His fractured souls name is Sylas, his personality is more closed off like Silent Salt, but when he gets comfortable, he's more on the protective, loyal side like Salt. If someone approaches him with negative intentions, his Judgement of Silence spell will trigger and trap them in silence, but he does know how to get them out. The accessory that holds the fractured piece is a bracelet.
Eternal Sugar: Her fractured souls name is Eleanor, her personality is happy and joyous like Sugar, but when she gets comfortable, more of Eternal Sugar's obsessiveness can be seen. If someone approaches her with negative intentions, her Eternal Slumber spell will trigger, causing them to fall asleep, and she doesn't know how to wake them up, but chooses not to so they "Can have their happiness". The accessory that holds the fractured piece is a simple circlet.
Mystic Flour: Her fractured souls name is Melanie, her personality is just pure apathy, but when she gets comfortable she can be quite nurturing. If someone approaches her with negative intentions, their minds would start feeling numb, filled with Apathy, and if left alone for long enough, they will turn to dust(human)/flour(cookie). The accessory that holds the fractured piece is a hair clip.
As for where the main bodies go, Shadow Milk is in his Spire in a hidden room, suspended in the air by his strings, Burning Spice is hidden in the hollowed out pillar under the Avatar of Destruction statue, Silent Salt is in the Audience Chamber, lined up with the other suits of identical armor to help him blend in, Eternal Sugar is in the largest flour in her garden, which is guarded the Heart of the Garden, and Mystic Flour is in her cocoon.
Story I got so far: During the second Dark Flour War, when Dark Enchantress was draining their powers, the Beasts Soul Jams ended up having a piece fractured off, well, most at the time, since Shadow Milk lost a fracture when Silent Salt stabbed him. Due to five of the Soul Jams being fractured, things are out of whack, so the Ancients need to find those fractures and bring them back
Before you go saying "Oh, but the fractures are now their own people", technically yes, and no, they are still in Beasts, but kinda reset, and they don't feel pain when the fractured piece is restored to the full Soul Jam, more like relief.
