they're selling anti-ai slogans on sweatshop-produced t-shirts. i don't need to write the poem for you to get it do i
I can't remember who said it but I saw a comment or tweet talking about hypocrisy that essentially said The Hypocrisy Is The Point. hypocrisy is power. it's the ability to set rules for everyone else except you. and if power is a virtue then hypocrisy is a virtue. it's why you never really get anywhere with "by your logic..." or "then wouldn't that mean...". it's not that they don't realize they're being hypocritical. they do it on purpose to prove that you have to listen to them and they don't have to listen to you
he just always in his own world fr he rlly quiet unless he know you….he funny as hell tho but only if he know u type shit
I get the importance of the transfem community warnings but sometimes I see shit like girls talking other girls out of trying to get their teaching certificates because of the potential for harassment from conservative parents and idk that's very real but also at a certain point we are just doing preemptive hiring discrimination to ourselves
Like on the one hand it is very real that societal transphobia would like to see us all unemployed, forced to do survival sex work. But also that's not the only reality available to us at this point! And sometimes I worry that we are self policing in a way by flooding so many trans girls with this message of "your only options are to get super good at onlyfans or be Raytheon's strongest coder" when like, so many of the women I know are teachers, home care workers, nannies, day care workers, postal workers. Not glamorous, but like, idk the world of lower middle class pink collar jobs is available to us more or less at this point. Other girls have office jobs, some girls have to work food service and retail. But we get to exist in some form besides either NEETs or internet famous porn girls. And obvi hiring discrimination is real, and obvi disability issues come into play for a lot of us that makes a lot of the work I just mentioned inaccessible. I'm not saying things are sweet out there. But there is a world out there where you can live. Maybe not in the exact way you want, maybe not super easily, but you can live.
I bring a sort of "too many of you really despise CSA survivors" vibe to this website that Tumblr users don't really like.
You survive one of the most traumatizing things a child can go through and all you get in exchange is people telling you that your public existence is making it less fun for them to jerk it. To your trauma.
i think one of the worst things the left wing internet ever did was push the idea that oppression is basically a virtue, and being oppressed is a sign of your morality. it has made it like…impossible for some of you to hold the idea that most people are privileged in some ways and oppressed in others. AND a lot of you seem to have it in your mind that terrible people cannot be oppressed, and that oppressed people cannot do terrible things, which is a dangerous rhetoric to hold imo.

we prefer to call it the Stanford prison experience
honestly one of the top 3 best outcomes of my transition is that no one gives a shit about me anymore. I don’t get leered at in public (outside of clocking obviously), I don’t get sexually harassed by random men, I don’t get followed on the street or through malls by men, I don’t get called an ungrateful bitch for turning down a date, I don’t get sexually harassed at work or school, I don’t get random unsolicited nudes sent to me, I don’t get men being crybabies about me having a higher GPA than they do or making more money than they do, I don’t get disgusting comments about my body, I don’t get called a bitch or cunt or dyke. All the harassment and violence I have faced post-transition has always been because I’m transgender, not because I’m a man. Being invisible in public (RELATIVE TO THE WOMEN IN YOUR OWN DEMOGRAPHIC COHORTS) is an incredible privilege and I didn’t understand the sheer extent of that privilege until I transitioned. Men talk to me like a human being now! They ask for my opinion, they chat with me, they interact with me like a “normal person.” I became invisible in those interactions because I’m just treated like a person and not like a woman. If anything, transitioning made me hate men more, because it revealed to me how capable they are of talking to other people like human beings and not housemaids they can fuck and abuse.
So like the gall to complain about this is insane. Don’t you guys fucking remember what interacting with the world pre-transition was like? How dehumanised and violated and surveilled you felt? Ok so now imagine that there are still women in the world who experience that all the time. Now imagine there is a group of women who have to deal with all of that on top of also being the focus of a global extermination campaign, who have to deal with all of that sexual harassment AND transphobia AND violence at the same time. You want the privilege of being invisible while ALSO still being the centre of attention? What the fuck is wrong with you?

because of this tag somebody left on my post:
Hi. It's me, Trustfund Whitelady, here to tell you all about my queer-owned small business oddities shop. Check out our multiple products on offer such as: quartz bought in bulk from Amazon, $5 vinyl stickers of animals in cowboy hats, king cake plastic baby earrings, and up in our display case, a taxidermied bat we for sure don't have a permit for. Our brick and mortar store has no available parking or public restroom but it DOES smell so strongly of incense that you'll need to hose yourself down after exiting :) If you can't make it out to the shop, no worries! We'll be at the craft market next Saturday between the amigurumi mushrooms stall and the 3d printed fidget slugs stall
white people will look you dead in the eye and say pedophilia/epstein case is comparable to eating meat/not going vegan
i wish i was joking
