Hi, hopefully this isn't annoying but an anti-shifter led me to think. Normally whenever there's an argument regarding why shifters haven't brought back a cure to cancer or any y'know, life-changing revelation in order to prove shifting, people state it's because there is no original reality and even if they tried, they wouldn't come back to "this" reality. I accepted that at first, but then your anons made me ponder...if shifters can shift back from fictional realities and bring storytimes back to "this" reality given you stated that when someone assumes they shift back to their "original reality", then they shift back to their "original reality"..why can't they do the same with the cure to cancer? Or can they do the same and reasonably choose not to? (I fall in this line of thinking, mostly. I sure know that once I shift I'm not going to spend my time looking for a cure lol, but I'm just genuinely curious since this knocks on my mind every now and then. If you have an answer then thank you very much!!)
I know you are giving the cancer thing as an example but I believe all types of cancer already has a cure, they just don't share that with us since big pharma needs another billion dollars. Humanity's greed delays those big revelations.

This is a question I asked other loabloggers as an anon too, nobody answered me.
So I started my own research. I read books, I spent so much time on the internet and this is what internet thinks according to our current understanding of physics:
Traveling to the future is allowed by Einstein's theory of relativity. If you travel close to the speed of light or spend time near an extremely strong gravitational field, time passes more slowly for you than for people on Earth. When you return, more time has passed for everyone else, so you've effectively "traveled into the future." Coming back to your original time is a different matter. Once you've moved into the future, there is no known way to reverse that process. Time dilation only slows the rate at which you move through time—it doesn't let you go backward.
Even the reality you think is original is not original, you assume thousand of things everyday, reality changes every second. Reality is never stagnant and "current". Since there is no such thing as original reality, when you shift to another reality, you come back to the reality YOU DEEM AS ORIGINAL. That's what I believe. Because to me time and place doesn't exist, it's because our perception that we think time is passing. Time and place exists in this dimension that we experience things with our physical form/body. I don't think that our consciousness is limited by time and place.
That's why Abdullah said to the Neville "You are in Barbados", I don't think he just talks about the wish fulfilled state here. Great minds always choses their words wisely.
At the end of the day, I don't know, nobody knows. Someday there could be someone that will make a different argument than Einstein. Today, world's current understanding of physics are agreeing with shifting antis.
They think traveling to the future is possible but coming back is not.
If you are a person that thinks our sense of science is so advanced then this could break your spirit, if you ask me, I really don't care.
There is a common experience that I think all humanity shares at some point:
You have a disease, you go doctor to doctor to doctor but they don't know what it is or they know what it is but they don't have a cure or worst of all they misdiagnose you.
Or you lose someone you love to a common disease, I lost my grandpa to cancer.
Then you realise medicine hasn't actually advanced that much. We actually are not that bright on biology. As someone who got poisoned many times I personally am very aware that we don't have that much knowledge about chemistry too.
Humanity is still interested in wars. We are not funding science we are funding wars.
That's why I think in the future someone with different ideas will prove that our consciousness is god like and surpasses time and place but we are not there today.
Just so you know, I am just a girl on tumblr not someone that got a degree on physics so my opinion is based on only my ideas.

If someone doesn't believe something they don't. Any form of belief in this world is fundamentally the same shit. You believe something before you even see it or else it would be "knowing". I believe that Einstein's argument is not enough and our consciousness is much more than that. I believe I am not understanding so many things about reality, time and place to that's why you and I are sharing the same confusion.
At the same time my friend, a christian believes that Jesus Christ rose from the death. Did they saw that? Do they know that? No they don't they weren't there to witness it but this is the part where belief comes in. They believe that he defeated death and everything.
Believe me that's the same belief system you and I carry. The thing about christ rising from the death is not backed up by science. Sure there could be old writings and history to support that. Same goes with our thing. Reality shifting is not a sciencetifical thing but projects like CIA Gateway Process supports our belief.
We are little humans on this planet going "lalala I thinks that thing makes sense, I believes in that thing, I believes im something greater than me, I feels happy nauww"
I swear that's it bro. I can use some sophisticated words and be super confident and tell you "noo shifting antis are completely wrong and I am completely right, I solved all mysteries of reality and let me give it to you" noo that's unrealistic I can't do that.

Literally my brain hurts because even tho I am fluent (not native but fluent at least) it is so hard still. So I am sorry if you don't understand what I am talking about, I feel like the guy that everyone posts edits on insta. He speaks French but girl only knows English.
