I’m assuming you’re talking about sprite bases though, and I don’t really, except for maybe these frills that you can put on a clown (or ballerina/o)

Have some hair bases! There’s little to no corn rows/dreadlocks/etc. bases out there and I’ve been planning on making one for the longest time, and finally decided to do it after some discord pals asked for it.

Nice clean lines, too, and I think the pants are cute

I can’t really tell you what might be wrong with your sprite since everyone sprites differently. Perhaps it’s the face/symbol alignment? Try lifting the face up a bit, or moving the symbol to the middle of the chest as opposed to under the face like that.

hi uh!!! i run a sprite blog and so i decided hey why not try and actually improve??? i havent sprited in a while tho lol

i like sticking with the original sprites mostly, just adding on extra details like to the hair and glasses and stuff, just to make them more ‘appealing’

Ooh, I really like your Vriska sprite? Something about how the hair and glasses looks especially looks very appealing to me. I like the teeny details like the shine on the lipstick as well! 

Not much for me to say, really- Lines are nice and clean, details aren’t too distracting and makes the overall sprite look nicer... Maybe try to branch out and start making your own sprite parts? Just a suggestion! Or try adding a bit of detail to the clothes i.e. pockets on the pants, which is something I like doing.

so i’m bad at spriting and wanted to get better, so i just randomly practised recreating trolls that were created using the farrrago fiction troll doll maker.

please don’t be easy on my work, and feel free to rip apart anything or everything! thanks!

(btw the highlights specifically on the ears and feet are from damage overtime, hence the yellowish colour if the skin from blood and bruising. can’t remember if that’s possible in canon tho.)

I like the design! The little details you added were a nice touch. I especially liked the small, different colored highlights in the eye holes of the mask. Pretty much the only problem I can really see is that the lineart is wobbly, particularly on the hair, something that I don’t know how else to improve other than practice and meticulous clean up. The lines are rather thin as well, though I admit that’s just a preference of mine to have thicker lines. Maybe try thicker lines for a bit and see if you like it? Experimenting with styles is a nice way to improve.

Despite the wobbly line art, though, I think you did an especially good job on the jacket! I just like how disheveled it looks.

what made you change jeffs name to Juno? I love it, im just curious :0

Most of my HS ocs have stories outside of homestuck you see, and in these stories his name is Fujioka Jun! So I always just call him Jun in my head. 

I changed his name to Juno because to fit in that four letter hs kid name template, and it’s close enough to Jun. I thought about calling him June at one point but I didn’t want him to be confused with June Egbert ^^

The mascots for this blog has received a redesign/update!

Ok, heres the one i really need critique on, my heinoustuck itchy 01 design. Hes supposed to be based off some of the fastest animals on earth (cheetahs, hawks, to a MUCH more minor extent rabbits), but i feel like I kind of did a terrible job.

Also heres the ones im proudest of just so you can see. I know that the background on the crowbar one is fucked but thats because I was on the computer at the time instead of my phone like normal so i basically used online ms paint

Hmm, I think the designs are solid enough! I like Crowbar’s design the best. 

I notice you’re using an aliased/non pixelated brush though, which really sticks out against the pixels. Using an anti aliased brush would make it blend in better, and also make it easier to make the lines neater since they’re a little messy right now.
