1. I think after filming, months after GG’s Japan trip. I think that’s when it changed from their own little bubble of summer filming to the real world.

2. This question is so hard for me cause i’m more of what I see than the rumors. even if some of them are really 👁👄👁 My recent favorite would have to be the Weibo night event last January, where GG allegedly made the post Web shared on Weibo. It’s just so funny!

What is little red and green?

They are a specific contributor to the Boxiao Fake rumor house and their posts have Web assigned with a green circle and GG with a red circle. People who contribute in the Fake Rumor house use different symbols and names for the two to keep their identities but this one uses the circles all the time. It is formatted like conversations and other symbols/emoticons are assigned to other people who happen to be there in those scenarios. Like all other contributions in that site, people do not treat it as absolute truth. however, this particular stories shared have links to what happens in real life. it has clues that are very unique. In the rumor house, people give credit or believe contributors that are able to provide information before it happens. not really leaks. take for example someone who contributed that Web was holding a beer while skateboarding in an episode of summer surf. no one saw any clip of that yet before it was mentioned. everyone thought it was just a nice addition to a fake story. The stories are mostly day to day overheard conversations. just simple things that two people who have a relationship will talk about.

So who do we think is the culprit?

• A popular guess is that it’s someone from Web’s team since there seems to be more dialogue from little green. Also, a few of the scenarios are in DDU or Web’s place of work.

• Someone they both know and are given the permission to share these information. with gg and web’s consent on which ones they can share.

• A really talented bxg who can make up these stories. but with the number of times they get things right, they must be very talented.

to date, they have submitted around 44 stories. we can’t confirm which one is the real green and red contributor vs the ones who just started submitting w/ the same format. what we know tho is whoever it is — it’s really close to what can (and probably is) happening in real life. if you look at the comments, people will ask if this “is this little red and green?”

Why do BXGs love it?

BXGs generally love fake rumors, especially the sweet ones. There are also those that turn out to be true and will only be validated once something happens— so some people keep track. a couple of things that make the contributions from this one special :

• most of them give clues that bxgs will not notice unless they point it out.

• they give scenarios from events that happened behind the scenes ( ex : tencent starlight 2020 )

• the dialogues are funny and sweet. the way it is delivered seems true to how GG and Web talks.

• it reads like a good fan fic sometimes.

• it gives insight to some personal information— nothing too invasive, something like, for ex : what they call each other.

• it includes other people they work with, making the story/contribution more convincing.

• 10c 2020 night behind the scenes and ring

• everything is well prepared

• Weibo night 2021 event where GG allegedly posted for Web.

BXGs get excited because they mostly get things right and give candies to the fandom! 💛 everything is up for interpretation. Nothing here is 100% confirmed. Though I have noticed that they have been giving more clues lately. That’s why people are always 👀 for it.

So You Finished Heated Rivalry and You Need Another Show to Watch

We all know that feeling. The high of finishing a good show followed by the immediate crash and sense of emptiness when you realize it's over. I've always believed the best way to soothe myself in those situations is to dive right in to another show that has some similarities to the thing I loved. It may not entirely fill the void, but it does provide distraction.

For some of you, Heated Rivalry may have been a new experience--a well made gay romance on mainstream TV that actually cared about sex as part of the story. But I have great news! In other parts of the world this kind of show is not so uncommon. There's a whole world of amazing gay romances out there, and I'm here to share just a few that may appeal to you as a fan of HR.

Note: All of these shows are available on easy to access streaming services--Netflix, Viki, YouTube and iQIYI--some entirely for free. If you want to watch but aren't familiar with any of the platforms, let me know and I will point you.

Bad Buddy (Viki)

Did you say rivals to secret lovers? Look no further than Bad Buddy, the story of two arch rivals from feuding families who accidentally fall in love and have to hide their relationship. Buff men, sports, secret romance, explosive chemistry, capital Y yearning--it's all there!

KinnPorsche (iQIYI)

Maybe what appeals to you more than anything about HR is the chance to see beautiful men in gorgeously shot sex scenes that actually matter to relationship development. If so, look no further than KinnPorsche, a show whose visuals and explicit sex scenes will stun you while you try to keep up with the zany plot centered on a mafia family.

Old Fashion Cupcake (Viki)

Maybe you're a fan of adult romances teeming with sexual tension in general, in which case you should definitely check out this workplace romance where a younger employee sets out to woo his older boss. It's short and sweet and you'll want to put it on repeat.

The Eighth Sense (Viki)

For the sexy angst lovers, The Eighth Sense offers both a compelling romance and a similar emphasis on beautiful cinematography, great music, and all around style. This story focuses on two college students in the same surf club who get tangled up in each other.

Like in The Movies (YouTube)

Speaking of great music and angst, this story about a closeted college student who meets and falls for a very much not closeted gay man will speak to those who are drawn to Shane's journey of coming into his sexuality and working through his internalized homophobia.

Dark Blue Kiss (YouTube)

Not to get ahead of myself, but I think we all know the story that is coming next for Shane and Ilya in season 2. Dark Blue Kiss similarly takes a look at a long term relationship in the closet--what happens when you've decided to be together but still have to hide?

I Told Sunset About You (Viki)

If you love beautiful cinematography, gorgeous music, intense sexual tension and deep angst, there is hardly a better show for you than this one. This story is coming of age so the characters are on the younger side, but the show is very mature in its themes.

I Cannot Reach You (Netflix or Viki)

Another show about younger characters, this one is a pitch perfect friends to lovers romance. It's funny without being cutesy, and it takes the sexual desire part of the romance seriously. Honestly so good.

Semantic Error (Viki)

And for the romcom fans, I can't leave off this top tier enemies to lovers story about two college students who hate each other--until they really don't. It's short and fun and great for any romcom lover.

Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo (iQIYI)

One more for the angst lovers! This gorgeous story follows two men who fall in love in high school before being separated by traumatic events and come back to together as adults to try to heal. It's another with beautiful visuals, great music, and loads of angsty sexual tension.
