I cannot, with words, accurately describe just how badly I want to have a bonfire with other pagans. It doesn't even have to be other Helpols specifically, we can use the fire to offer to our respective gods, we can say our own prayers and praise

I'd burn offerings for the Hellenic gods, my friend could burn offerings to the Kemetic gods, other Pagans could use the fire for their old gods, etc.

We could play music and drink and toast to our gods and just have community where we all exist together in peace

paganism pro tip: don't have, or want, a date for valentines day? ask aphrodite to be your valentine! honor her by making it a day of devotion and self love. get yourself your favorite chocolates and treats, and set some aside for aphrodite. grab a bathbomb or some bubble bath, and take a long warm bath as a devotional act. make some valentines inspired arts and crafts, and put them on your altar. wind down by watching your favorite romcoms, no matter how outdated and campy they are (or whatever genre you like, if romance isn't your thing!)

i really love percy jackson but oh gods, don’t use these books for teaching yourselves to mythology!! I recommend to everyone theoi.com for knowing more about Gods, the cults, texts ecc. For myths i used a yt italian account about illustrated stories , google and a book from an italian girl named Chiara Lipari

In ancient Greece:

Boys and men worshipped Artemis, she had priests as well as priestesses.

eros: your typical love, romance, sex, all that. typically what Aphrodite is known for.

philautia: self-love (which is SO SO important!)

storge: parental love, the bond that parents and children have with each other.

ludus: playful love - banter, teasing, flirting as a joke with your friends.

pragma: longstanding love, that is built upon trust and respect for one another. can be any type of relationship.

xenia: hospitality, a love and care for strangers and the people around you.

agape: true, unconditional love. the love everyone should aim to feel for others and to let others feel for them.

Lady Aphrodite is all of this! She tends to like hearing about relationships (in my experience), and She's always willing to lend some advice!
