Rh-negative Blood During Pregnancy
We just received this message from one of our Facebook friends and upon her request, we are sharing this here:
Could you post this for me. Lost my sweet angel baby on Monday. I was 6 weeks and spotting since day 1. I started passing clots and cramping Monday night at work. I was rushed to the hospital and after many tests found out my baby was gone. The doctor in the emergency department asked if I knew what my blood type was. I honestly didn't. He told me I had rH negative blood and I should have gotten a shot when I first found out. If my doctors knew this, why wasn't I told my blood type could form antibodies against my baby. I wish they would have given the shot to me, and I feel guilty for not knowing this one little thing could take my baby from me. Anyone else have experience with rH negative blood during pregnancy? How do I get over blaming myself? When can I start trying again?
Any words for wisdom for her, especially from those who have experienced the same, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, everyone, and please join us in wishing her all the strength she and her family need as well as a swift recovery!
The mosquito-borne Rift Valley fever virus has been linked to miscarriage in humans. A study of 130 pregnant Sudanese women with fever showed that the risk of miscarriage was seven times greater if the woman was infected with Rift Valley fever virus.
Rift Valley fever is caused by the Rift Valley fever virus, which is mostly transmitted by mosquitoes and affects many different animal species including humans. The virus, which exists in Africa and on the Arabian Peninsula, often cause deadly infections in cows, sheep and goats, and usually lead to miscarriages in pregnant animals. The virus regular cause large outbreaks with hundreds of thousands of infected animals and people. There is currently an outbreak in Niger and recently a Chinese man, who had visited the African Continent, got sick with Rift Valley fever upon returning to China.
Rift Valley fever usually produces mild, influenza-like symptoms in humans. But in 8 percent of cases, infected people develop serious symptoms such as liver damage, serious eye infection, internal and external bleeding, meningitis and death.
Miscarriage is not a crime.
Many people have come and left, and it has been always good because they emptied some space for better people. It is a strange experience, that those who have left me have always left places for a better quality of people.

The University of Warwick has been selected to be a partner in the largest miscarriage research centre in Europe.
Funded by the leading pregnancy charity, Tommy’s, the University’s researchers will be joining doctors from University Hospital, Coventry to investigate the causes of early miscarriage.

How to start changing your life... for the better.
Keep your focus on what is truly most meaningful and important in your life. Declutter your home, workspace and other cluttered areas in your life. Uncomplicate your social life and schedule. Simplify your finances, reduce unnecessary costs and spend your money more consciously. Become more relaxed, focused and effective at work and in life. Reduce the information inflow and even take totally media free days. Explore mindfulness and relaxing solitude. Simply stop feeling so overwhelmed or stressed and start feeling happier on the inside. Create changes that stick with you for life. Learn to stick with the plan and actually do things to simplify your life instead of just dreaming or thinking about it.

My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return.

We’d like to thank the talented Rebekah Garvin for sharing her music with us on Facebook. Please give her music a listen: Almost was written in loving memory of the two precious angels that she lost, the first on 11/14/2014 and the second on 6/2/2015.
To all the grieving mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, grandparents and godparents—the pain may be unbearable and it may take some time for the heart, mind, body, and soul to heal, but take comfort in the fact that the little ones we’ve lost are happy and well, and in a better place.
