so funny how the older u get ur like how the fuck on gods green earth did people used to manage all th- ahhh.. i need one of these wives everybody keeps talking about..
"how was X so successful and productive and achieving?" wife feeding and clothing and cleaning and shopping and parenting for them and also probably booking appointments and personal receptionist work. AND stimulant abuse. and shes supposed to suck you off whenever. id kill him too #feminists
you can say the oversexualization of women in media is a result of the patriarchy and a leftist will start inventing new synonyms for prude
I bring a real 'actually people who are pregnant do deserve some special consideration because they are effectively at least temporarily disabled if not permanently after some complications' vibe to the party that a lot of people don't seem to like
given the current climate this pride especially i feel i must mention that i love my trans friends, i stand with trans people in the fight against transphobic legislation and those who would enforce it, and this blog is not a good place for you to be if you do not vibe with that
i think it's actually really horrifying and detrimental that it's considered socially unacceptable to tell parents when they are making mistakes while raising their kids
"don't tell me how to raise my kids" is seen as a good defense and it's so disturbing to me.
children are not your property that you can do whatever you like with.
giving birth or impregnating someone or adopting doesn't give you some inherent wisdom that means you can never fuck up.
and you shouldn't have the right to abuse or neglect or misinform a child just because you have legal guardianship of them.
they deserve to have others speak up on their behalf. i don't care if it hurts your ego.
the vast majority of the time, it is all about ego and control btw.
a staggering amount of parents view their children as their property and see advice as someone trying to take away their "deserved" control.
a ton of them are more concerned with being perceived as a good parent over actually being one.

the european academic experience of being on a bus in random part of a random city when your phone suddenly connects to a shitty wifi signal for roughly three minutes because you passed by a random university building
I think it's insane that even in the most leftist and "progressive" spaces the idea of equating morality with looks is alive and present and no one fucking bats an eye at it. like racists and mysoginysts are always portrayed as fat and hairy and generally unkept, as a contrast to the morally good and attractive leftists of course; people will have no problem being genuinely fucking awful about someone's appearance if they're deemed to be a "bad person". and the worst part is you point all of this out and people act like you're reading too much into things like no dude you gotta start using your brain more
The silly product of my insomnia last night.

im not saying we shouldn't be calling out hypocrisy but i do think it's important to be aware of what i call the Two Different Guys Fallacy. and that's that whenever you're thinking to yourself, oh how come X group claim they want this thing but also support that other incompatible thing. take a moment to stop and consider whether it could just be Two Different Guys that think each thing
i love a show that gives ME what i want. not the audience. im not the audience. im specialer than the audience. i have wants that are better than the audience. yeah. i said it. im better at watching television than most people. i get what i want and if i dont then the show is bad. write this down.
