people in the notes being “oh but it’s bad” YEAH BECAUSE IT WAS ONE OF THE EARLIEST COMMERCIALLY SUCCESSFUL DUBBING PROJECTS? it’s so historically important to the history of anime in the english language sphere and to be quite honest it reeks of weird ass “the only actual anime that counts as historically important is Boy Stuff” that you get way too often when you try and look into like. any shoujo ever. and i'm not saying people are doing it on purpose but I feel if this happened to, say, yugioh or pokemon- historically important shonen anime- people would Not be so quick to say a flawed product deserves to be lost forever despite being an important milestone in an art forms history
