Today enjoy a cup of cocoa, some cake, and a long-tailed pangolin. This is a redo of one of the first animals with food I ever did. Pangolins are also SUPER endangered thanks to poaching and trafficking, consider donating to the World Wildlife Foundation to help out.

I am abt to lose my fuckin mind because I happened upon this gender reveal party. and like it’s soo over the top expensive
And like I’m like. Oh great, a horse themed gender reveal party.
complete with like … just truly excessive foods and of course, themed cocktails
and this sign which like… the fragility of like *not* italicizing the word ‘colt’. Like imagine being this weird abt gender
with like, a bucket that eventually ‘revealed’ the gender
But like… the picture that really just completely undid me, for this party which surely was more money than many weddings -
it’s not a horse themed gender reveal party. It’s a gender reveal party FOR A HORSE. I can’t even like imagine the life that would lead to hosting a gender reveal party for a not-yet-born horse. Think abt getting an invitation to this. the cis are at it again.
“Do not push your child to forgive or otherwise reconcile with the person who hurt them. If you’re feeling that forgiveness is something you want or value, take a moment to reflect on why. It may be that you are feeling the pull of cultural messages that tell survivors to “be the bigger person,” and that they can never truly move on unless they forgive their perpetrator. Forgiveness is something that, should they choose to, they are welcome to do in the course of their healing. However, it is not something anyone should be or feel obligated to do. Survivors can, and do, heal just fine and move on with their lives while keeping the person who hurt them solidly in the category of “people whose funerals I would attend just to make sure they are dead.” Too, you can forgive someone for what they did and still not want them anywhere near you. You’re not obliged to put yourself back in the path of someone who hurt you (and might do so again) in the name of some nebulous “closure””

I really do love that people have legitimately always just been people. Like how many angry breakup texts have their been that end with “Come get your stuff or I’m donating it to goodwill”? People never change.
The Evolution of Dice ! I’ve been wanting to do this one for a long time. Is it pretty understandable? Crits welcome!

Me, trying to get rid of anything that doesn’t spark joy: Ugh I’m such a dumbass I should throw myself away.
Marie materialising in my room: Yes, this negative attitude doesn’t bring you joy. You should thank it for getting you through your past traumas but you no longer need it or want it so it should go.
THIS IS BRILLIANT
You kidding me
You kidding me right

The only reason Pitbulls are considered bad or dangerous dogs is because of racism and the only reason people are starting to realize they’re not is because white People are suddenly going “wow this racist stereotype we imposed on a dog typically owned by black people is wrong and we should fight against this without ever acknowledging it’s racist roots.” So yeah pitbulls were never bad dogs and we always knew that, y’all are just racist.
What kind of Dumb bullshit is this. I own pitbulls I’ve always on pitbulls oh and I’m white. I have a pitbull that is a service dog…. I just have never seen such a dumb uneducated bulshit leftist shit post
About seven years ago, when author Bronwen Dickey started writing a book about pit bulls, she said she was intrigued by the reactions she go

If you actually bothered to do any reading or educate yourself on the topic, you would know that around the 1980s Pitbulls, who had once been what the golden retriever is today, began to be associated with the black community which saw a major shift in how the dogs were viewed by society. They went from being an American classic to a dog that saw heavy breed restrictions and legislation and being feared largely by people because of their association with black communities. This isn’t a secret or even something that isn’t commonly known. You being uneducated about the subject is just your own ignorance. You’ll note I’ve provided articles in case you’d like to actually learn about this so you’ll be better equipped to engage in this topic next time around.
this is solid. if you love dogs you gotta know this. the better you learn the racial history behind criminalizing pitbulls and the more genuinely you commit yourself to, first-and-foremost, opposing the abuse of other human beings, the better you also protect dogs impacted by the runoff from these heinous viewpoints. you know what DOESN’T help save pitbulls? denying the incredibly insideous reason they were targeted at all - because of fear and hatred of black people - and failing to solve the root issue FIRST. be loud about racism and hatred toward other humans, it poisons everything, and the more time spent focusing only on the bits that reach you personally is more and more lives harmed and prematurely + unjustly ended.
