Fandom needs to stay a semi-secret space that you have to intentionally opt into. The fourth wall exists for a reason, and everyone who’s been here for any length of time knows that. Seeing someone intentionally stomp all over it for personal gain, and ruining it for all other hrpf authors in the process, is so breathtakingly selfish and shortsighted. Fics will be deleted, blogs will go down, community members will leave, all because one person put her own selfish interests over the safety of the community that supported her in the first place.
