Exam + Luck = WTF? Yay!

Today I was stuck on an assignment which is supposed to turn into a 10-page end-of-term essay, in a double-points class. Therefore, I opened Tumblr. You know, to relax, change my erspective, get my hy head back out into some fresh air. And there it was. Right in the middle of my Tubmlr flow. An article about my subject.

Nice guy ❤ free food

Today, I was almost late to a hot dog stand, only arriving as the guy was tidying up early. He asked what I wanted to buy, and then told me there was one hot dog left for me. Then he asked about my weekend while I was paying. When I told it had been fine, except for being sick, he gave me chocolate "to improve [my] weekend."

Today, a Chinese woman tried to tell me

202 - 181,54 = 30

The four Chinese people surrounding her seemed uncertain of that, but they were all certain they would not let their friend get swindled by the possibly evil local, just in case she was right.

After showing her the calculations twice, both on paper and on old-fashioned calculator, she still had her doubts, but then one of the other Chinese said the argument didn't lead anywhere. They left, and I hope they work it out before they reach any authorities, to save all our faces.

Learning

I learned how to not cough at a cough reflex over the last week. I'm so proud of myself for my accomplishment, but I can't tell anyone. If I did, they would just worry themselves sick at how sick I must be in order to learn this, of all things.

Birthday plans

Today, I need to: go to a lecture, read an essay, visit a once-a-year food market, buy a special cake pan, visit the wine monopoly, bake 3 cakes, fix and wrap a birthday gift, and clean my fridge. Then I have to clean up and dress up, all before 7pm.

Today, I thought I was getting dressed, left for work, went through the day, had pasta for dinner and watermelon for dessert, and had just gone to bed. Then I woke up, it was ten to leave-for-work, and I hoped it was prophetic.

Missing out

Today, I had to decline an invitation to eat lunch with my classmates. I had to work. My boss had an impulse holiday, and needed me to come in. My classmates had Indian food at a nice restaurant, with reasonable prices, that I've never been to before. Student life, I guess.
