hey so pride-flags on deviantart reuploaded your jewish gay trans man flag, did they have permission to reupload it? asking just in case you werent aware they did because they have a history of stealing and/or uploading peoples flags without permission unfortunately
No we didn't but thank you for telling us we will try to get it taken down
Shout out to black gay men. Too many times black gay men are portrayed negatively in media and just written off as jokes or harmful stereotypes. But nah, black gay men are smart, kind, handsome, strong, determined, etc…etc…and they deserve more than people give them.
in honor of pride month i have created some lgbt playlists for you gays
be gay, do crimes (for non-cishet shenanigans, road trips, milkshake runs, showers, and general good lgbt times)
pride throwbacks (no this isn’t the same five madonna songs as every other throwback mix it’s ani difranco and george michael i got u denim lesbians i got u)
not crying on sundays (sometimes bein lgbt is hard and that’s ok here are some songs for u when ur sad but always remember things get better)
just a little help from my friends (i asked four of my gay friends to send me their favorite gay songs. what happened next will astound you) / +BONUS one of the contributors made a playlist of their favorite gay anthems composed entirely of one direction songs
lgbt resistance radio (vintage vibes from ye gays of olde)
you gotta give em hope (songs that remind me of harvey milk’s ‘hope’ speech)
gay club at mos eisley spaceport (yeah i mean the one on tattooine)
pride 2018 mastermix (balls to the wall lgbt jams and general happy sounding music for your own personal pride parade or whatever it is you have planned for this month)
i am sending extra love to closeted lgbt ppl and lgbt poc and to all members of the trans community i hope everyone has a very safe and very happy pride 💜🌈🌻
“Just me existing, as an openly black transgender woman from a working-class background, thriving, is a political act. My brother always reminds me that if you are black in America and you’re alive, you deserve a round of applause. There are so many forces that don’t want us to be alive, and so just being openly who I am, and happy and thriving, is a political act.”
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAVERNE COX! (May 29, 1972)
thank u to laverne cox for inventing trans people, art, acting, and music! lets give a round of applause to our mother
jewish pride flags! 💖🌈💖
Trans women’s expressions of “butch” and “femme” don’t need to look like cis women’s to be valid, worthy, and beautiful.
& I don’t mean “forgive her if she doesn’t pass as cis,” I mean that trans women can and do have radically different ideas about butch and femme identity and they are all Good.
if there’s a god she made me outrageously gay and beautifully trans for a very purposeful reason!! my identity is a beam of light that brings joy into my life!! it has made me a kinder, stronger and better person in every way possible
(Image description: ten brightly colored squares with white text; together the text says “Jewish genderqueer people are wonderful. Muslim genderqueer people are incredible. Atheist genderqueer people are fantastic. Pagan genderqueer people are splendid. Hindu genderqueer people are fabulous. Sikh genderqueer people are awesome. Christian genderqueer people are amazing. Buddhist genderqueer people are magnificent. Agnostic genderqueer people are lovely. Taoist genderqueer people are brilliant.”)
but really though, this pride month, shout out to straight trans people. it’s gotta be rough sometimes listening to people constantly complaining about “the straights” and how “it’s gay month if you’re not gay go home”. you’re not contributing to heteronormitivity just by being yourself. you 100 percent belong at pride and all of you make this community a better place.
we’re stanning hets tonight! if you’re trans, you’re the best
Also gonna post this one. (All discourse will be ignored/blocked. I’m not dealing with that this years.)
happy pride y’all from yours truly. you guys complained that my last lesbian nicole drawing was too nice to richard so here’s her keeping it real. accompanied by sawyer and toodles galore if you were wondering ✌️

Okay, hopefully that’s a good start <3
the OP of the screenshotted tweet is on tumblr, and an author too, having put out Chameleon Moon and related stories.
I’m really relieved that both RoAnna and Heather’s books are linked on this post because if their tweets were going to be circulating around Tumblr with no way to indicate that Heather’s written a three-book (so far) fantasy series about magical lesbians and bi women in early 19th century Central Europe and RoAnna writes hopeful superhero dystopians that feature the only f/f/f triad MC’s I can think of in any book, that would have been hecking unfair.
@affablyevil, I hope that helps, but if you want more books, here’s a list I made a while ago of ten SFF f/f’s where they don’t die, and I am continually reading more and recommending more. (Have you heard of Flowers of Luna? College f/f set at fashion design college on the moon.)
[image description: a tweet from RoAnna Sylver (@RoAnna Syvler) reading “This June, please rememeber that there are more LGBT books than the ones you see everywhere put out by the Big 5, ad indies are amazing/worthy.” The next reblog is a tweet from Heather Rose Jones (@heatherrosejones) reading: “Making a list of queer SFF for Pride Month? Remember to look outside the mainstream presses. Don’t shut queer publishers out of queer lit.”]
