here i post art, oneshots/drabbles, and other content related to my ocs! under the cut is a full compilation of information i have posted about this universe so far, and all the posts related to the characters and stuff.
i highly encourage dropping asks if you're curious about anything, or want to interact with the characters (pleasepleaseplease i love yapping)! the basic synopsis of the universe is as follows:
THE NEOVERSE is the name given to the universe created by neo (a.k.a. glitch, a.k.a. me!!!; known under various usernames), an alternate variant of earth with a few subtle changes, such as:
provable supernatural occurrences, such as aliens, ghosts, cryptids and demons;
an interconnected cast of characters;
and completely new places unique to the universe. these supernatural occurences and, on few occasions, characters, are treated as they would be in the real world. the events of the neoverse take place in the fictional town of normal, in the non-fictional province of saskatchewan, canada.
the main difference between this world and ours, however, is the existence of "neos", 'humans' born with unique supernatural abilities which manifest themselves physically (e.g. telepathy) or mentally (e.g. mind reading). there is a particularly high number of neos within the town of normal, a phenomenon as yet unexplained...

THE NEOVERSE is split into three distinct generations, though the characters within each do cross over: NUCLEAR FALLOUT (90s), PATHETIC FALLACY (early 2000s) and FRINGE CULTURE (late 2000s). the majority of planned events happen in 2008.
character introduction posts will be linked through their name when created, and other art, writing, etc. is described and linked afterwards. within the art and writing there may be triggering topics; potential triggering themes are mentioned on the posts themselves. if a piece of art/writing has already been mentioned, it won't be linked again. the character tags are simply #[character name] neoverse.

if you absolutely must, in primarily muscle force-based sports, create competitive classes like in boxing except separated by body comp, not just pure body weight. i mean, if you must. this will eliminate any tiny advantages in muscle mass. some will say basketball should have height classes but frankly some of the NBA's most impressive players were not tall so idk that this actually matters ever
the primary athletic impediment to all women is overwhelmingly cultural and psychological. i have won probably half the physical competitions with cis men that i have engaged in, friendly or otherwise. even without the benefit of a lifetime of people trying to make me throw or hit balls, i have won wrestling matches, sparring matches, funny backyard foam sword fights, video games, equestrian activities, dance, endurance tests of various kinds, etc. i'm small and weak. men think theyre stronger and more skilled than they are, women think the opposite about themselves
humans just arent that differently-sized or -shaped, as a species. we have almost no sexual dimorphism at all compared to the vast majority of other mammals.
animals that have similar levels of sexual dimorphism to humans, for example cats, dogs, and horses, do not generally have competitive events segregated by sex. the dog agility trials dont normally have separate leagues for male and female dogs (gendered competitions exist they're just unusual). because it doesnt matter. there is no kentucky derby 2 just for girl horses. thats not a thing
remove all gendered categories from online shopping websites and universalize clothing and shoe sizing. im sick of having to search two entirely different sections of ebay when im just trying to find a nice velvet loafer in size 39 EU. what the hell is "women's clothing"

DESCRIPTION: autumn is a secondary human character in the neoverse canon.
quiet and thoughtful, autumn's silence can often be mistaken for rudeness--while she is indeed closed off and standoffish at times, particularly if she thinks she's being made fun of. she has a special interest in bugs, especially those from her home state of new jersey; and looked after much of the younger cast as a babysitter, generally less comfortable with people her own age and preferring the company of animals. worms tend to be less judgemental, anyway.
FACTFILE: autumn is american, speaking only english fluently. she is a cis woman and uses she/her pronouns; is 27 in 2008, where much of the neoverse canon takes place (though her story takes place predominantly around 1997); is on the autism spectrum; and is lesbian.

DESCRIPTION: jesús is a main, likely human character in the neoverse canon.
often acting a lot more flippant and rude than he actually is, jesús is sociable and snarky; though in private he seems more mellowed out, if slightly touchy at times. being so avoidant, he finds it difficult to maintain serious relationships, despite his chattiness and seeming to know almost everyone in the town of normal, alongside their parents and their kids. though apparently the polar opposite to his half-sister celia, they are decently close, having one crucial trait in common: they're both tougher than they look.
FACTFILE: jesús is mexican, speaking spanish and english fluently. he is a trans man and uses he/him pronouns; is 17 in 2008, where much of the neoverse canon takes place; and is omnisexual with a male preference. also his shirt was supposed to be a placeholder but i didn't have anything to change it to, sooo. oops.

DESCRIPTION: lyss is a secondary human character in the neoverse canon.
indelibly awkward in her too-tight skinny jeans and homemade band tees, she fades into the background just as easily as someone invisible. it's not as though she does much to change this treatment; it just seems unfair. to her close circle she is an insatiable chatterbox, scribbling in her diary about how unfair absolutely everything seems and posting near-constantly online. she tells stories, exaggerating harder and harder to make herself as interesting as she can before embellished statements twist into plain white lies. constantly getting caught up in arguments and mini-feuds, she can be defensive and cutting at points, holding grudges until someone else apologies first. she can act exceedingly petty, but to those close to her is thoughtful, writing poems and waxing lyrical about this month's crush as though they've been in love forever. she falls in and out of love quickly—relationships never seem to last, and she moves on quickly but never forgets.
