There was a tortoiseshell cat that would show up on our apartment balcony. I tried to befriend and capture that one, but it was basically half-feral.

However, as I was laying out traps for this tortoiseshell, a very friendly, very fluffy grey cat kept wandering willingly into the traps for some tasty wet food. To the point where I actually had to pick her up (she did not resist) and carefully drop her outside the door the apartment so I could reset the trap for the tortoiseshell. This happened several times.

To the point where, I opened the door to leave for work in the morning, only to find the fluffy grey cat had curled up on our welcome mat the whole night, and was now staring up at me. I gave in, plopped her into a cage, and took her to the vet to get her all cleaned up.

This handsome little lady is Mechthilde. She is the first cat I've ever owned and I love her with all my heart.

These two are American crocodiles!
