So I posted this earlier today, and then as I was running through my posts, I decided to dig a bit myself.

As a mature 32-year-old lady, and a goth kid for many years, I have facial piercings. I have my left eyebrow and my labret (the middle of the bottom lip). I’ve had these piercings for over 10 years. The special thing about having a piece of metal in your mouth is you fuck with it constantly. I pulled on my flat back labret ring so much it cracked my front teeth. (This’ll be important later, just stay with me here.)

I’ll also tell you this, after about 3 years a piercing starts to create a divot like scar from the pulling and eventual slight ripping of the hole. I see this the most in mouth piercings, like the tongue and lips. Once again, because it’s constantly between your teeth and you’re playing with it.

Now onto what I figured out.

Like the above pictures, I have a one of my own to add.

That’s a fairly dark and perfectly pierced center hole. I’ll be here to tell you he’s had it for at least 3 years, and I’d almost guarantee he still wears it, just because the hole is so prominent. Most holes in soft tissue close up fast when you don’t have anything in them.

The little tongue thing he does, where he slides the end of his tongue through his teeth? That’s a thing the people with mouth piercings do (or at least every one I’ve known.) they run the metal ball or the rod across their teeth to make this clacking sound. I do this with my flat back ring, I run it across my teeth, back and forth and I roll the bar. Especially, when I’m thinking about something.

So in my opinion, Yes. Hongjoong has his tongue pierced. He’s had it for a few years, and he still wears it. Boom. Mind blown.
