Absolutely I can! Here's the post anon is talking about.

So pink is a colour that's been associated with Seunghyun for a hot minute. I've seen various fan accounts that state it's his favourite colour, but I can't find anything verifiable that he's ever said, however his most iconic and beloved look is when he had pink hair during the MADE era:

It's also one half of the iconic pink and green GD&TOP combination. Jiyong is very aware of how amazing this colour scheme looked together, because that second photo is a manip done by a shipper and he posted it anyway for Seunghyun's birthday in 2020:

We've all heard about the infamous pink and teal/turquoise matching watches - the theory goes that Jiyong has the pink one because it's Seunghyun's favourite colour, and Seunghyun has the turquoise one because it's Jiyong's favourite colour:

Finally, you've got all the insanity that was Jiyong last spring. It included the peaceminusone Highball collab, which was chock full of Seunghyun imagery, such as a pink spaceman (and if you need to know why a spaceman is relevant, you can read all about that here):

And it also included the Home Sweet Home AI music video (I know, I knowwwwww, we hate AI in this household but I have to talk about it I'm afraid). We all know how that song is tied to Seunghyun, but the video is sooooo painfully Seunghyun-coded it hurts. See how many references you can spot at home!

So What's With GTOP And The Moon Anyway?

A comprehensive breakdown of why the moon is associated with Seunghyun and why Jiyong uses this knowledge to send us all insane:

Part 1: Seunghyun and the moon

Seunghyun's attachment to the moon and space exploration in general has existed for years at this point. Examples include his astronaut costume in the Bang Bang Bang music video, and these posts about the moon from him and Jiyong:

People have also been associating him and Jiyong with the DearMoon project as early as 2018 - Seunghyun has been close friends with the man who put the project together for a while because they both have a shared interest in art:

Seunghyun was officially announced as a member of the DearMoon project in late 2022. In his promotional video for it, he talks about his love for the moon since childhood, and in an Instagram post about the project he talks about how intensely he feels an artistic connection with the moon and space in general:

His personal association with the moon has been intensely present for years at this point, from having moon related art in his home, a moon in his public Instagram name (before he changed it), a moon pop socket on his phone, space imagery in his wine brand, a moon birthday cake, and moon in his personal private Instagram handle (I'm not going to reveal the full name of it, but trust me bro, it's his private account):

He was also a rabbit on the moon in the Still Life music video. This was clearly a reference to the Asian folk tale of the moon rabbit:

“The Korean version of the Moon Rabbit tale begins with three animals—a rabbit, a fox, and a monkey—who aspired to embody the virtues of Buddhism. 

To test their commitment, the Emperor of the Heavens descended in disguise as a beggar, seeking food. The fox presented fish, and the monkey offered fruits. However, the rabbit, unable to find suitable food, chose to sacrifice itself by leaping into a fire, offering its own flesh. 

Moved by this profound act of selflessness, the Emperor appointed the rabbit as the guardian of the moon, immortalizing its noble deed among the stars.”

Seunghyun knew he was leaving BigBang as soon as his contract with YG was up. In January 2025, he revealed that his reasoning for leaving the band was to protect them and to ensure any backlash he received wouldn't be tied to them as well: “Regarding moving forward on my own, I felt that if I faced criticism and backlash, it was something I could endure alone. However, as long as I remained part of Big Bang, the guilt could not be erased, and I believed I could no longer let the team suffer because of me." He effectively sacrificed himself for the greater good of his friends, much like the moon rabbit in the story, which is where I think the imagery in the Still Life music video comes from (along with the obvious imagery of him detaching himself from Earth in general, and him being born in the zodiac year of the rabbit).

All in all, the moon is Seunghyun's thing and has been for a loooooong time. We can also see the space influence in his newest album teaser with the title 'Another Dimension', so I'm going to assume it'll be something to do with space, time etc just like he told us it would be.

Part 2: Jiyong is an insane loverboy

Ok, so where does GTOP come into this? Well, it comes into Jiyong being an absolute loved-up freak and also associating the moon with Seunghyun lmao. Here's the evidence we have of this:

Jiyong has a moon tattoo on his ankle. It showed up around 2021, which is when Seunghyun first started to visit the US and have links with the DearMoon project.

I know we're now in the era of not taking his likes on Instagram seriously, but it's worth noting that he did like a post about this connection between his tattoo and Seunghyun back in June 2025 when he was less free and random with his likes.

This same Instagram user has compiled all the times that Jiyong has posted stories about the moon - it started back in 2022 and has extended all the way until present day (and Jiyong has also liked this post because of course he has).

Jiyong was also present in the US with Seunghyun during 2022 and 2023, which was when Seunghyun was over there preparing for the DearMoon project. I've written more about that here, at the bottom of the post, if you want to read more!

Some other fun Jiyong stories worth noting:

On the left is part of a larger piece of artwork which featured a lot of different rocket ships. Jiyong focused specifically on the 87 one, possibly because of its link to Chanel (as he's the brand ambassador), possibly because Seunghyun was born in 1987 and Jiyong is mildly insane about birthday numbers. On the right is from a meal he attended in which he turned his dessert into a daisy and a rabbit (Jiyong's branding is the daisy, Seunghyun's is the rabbit).

Part 3: Look at the motherfuckin' moon

Ok besties, it's time to lock in.

Jiyong's insanity over the moon and Seunghyun has only ramped up in the last 12 months since Seunghyun has come back into the public eye again. In my opinion, he uses the moon to refer to him when he can't do it obviously, because he's respecting Seunghyun's wish not to be associated with BigBang as he doesn't want to cause any trouble or shame to the group. I think it's his way of reminding us that Seunghyun is still an important part of his and BigBang's life, and it's his way of showing his love for him that not everyone will know or recognise. Examples of this include:

The PeaceMinusOne and Highball collaboration, which featured branding of a pink astronaut who is painting in space (because all of that doesn't scream TOP at all, does it...)

The example Home Sweet Home music video, which was made using AI (I know, I know, I hate it too) and features a lot of Seunghyun related imagery (pink astronaut, pink suit in an art gallery, pink suit and white jacket hung up next to each other in an open closet, etc). It was also set over the bridge which features the line "you're welcome back home, wherever you are", which many people think is a nod to Seunghyun returning to BigBang if he chooses to.

The Zoa and Friends post about wishing on the moon during the Chuseok festival in 2025, which features the pink and yellowy-green characters sitting on top of one another in a very... familiar way:

Jiyong saying 'look at the moon' twice last year while performing outside: once in LA during the Head in the Clouds music festival, when Seunghyun was also in LA for Tudum, and once in Hanoi towards the end of his tour (he also says 'I love the moon' afterwards, and 'thank you moon' at the end of the show).

In the song Drama, Jiyong has the line 你总是问我爱你, 爱得有多深 which translates to 'you always ask me how deep my love is for you'. It comes from the Chinese song The Moon Represents My Heart, which he sang in a few different Chinese speaking countries during his tour, such as here in Macau. I believe Drama is a GTOP song, and you can read more about that here.

And that all leads us to his first 2026 moon story. This is the second time he's specifically tied multiple things to Seunghyun in one go - the first time was in late October 2025 when he posted the infamous moon/rabbit/Baby Goodnight story straight after the story with the Squid Game music and the doll eyes (which you can see here). Who else has posted something similar in the past? Oh, that's right, Seunghyun!

He's now posted his second moon/Baby Goodnight story the day after Seunghyun's album tease (which you can see here). He's also added that second story to his 2026 BigBang highlights which is........ frankly insane considering all of the above. This is absolutely him telling us that he still considers TOP part of the group, even if nothing is official or even if Seunghyun decides not to come back. (EDIT! He's now deleted it from the highlights reel and changed the name of it. I don't care, I still count it as what I said ✌️)

I'm currently reading Inje by autotunedd and absolutely loving it! I'm not a big fanfic reader, only because I'm super picky with what I read, so I tend to recommend the same three pieces again and again haha. However, if you're curious, I have linked my other fanfic favourites in this post towards the middle.

Omgggggg girl, the fact that Another Dimension gave you GTOP vibes absolutely separate from any knowledge of GTOP is insane and only makes me more certain that Seunghyun did everything in that second half of the album deliberately, I love that. Seeing as you've both mentioned engagement rings, well...

So, I'm fully in the camp that they're engaged lmao, if not symbolically married. We know Jiyong loves his rings, but I've noticed that he's been wearing a lot of engagement ring/wedding band stacks over the last 18 months to two years or so. The pink one in the third picture is the one I've seen him wear the most, but there's clearly a lot of varieties for this princess:

I also noticed the following very interesting interaction in a recent video where he was at the Audemars Piguet launch party with CL and a few other friends:

Jiyong is dancing with CL and he's being poked and prodded by a woman (I gather she's a model and influencer from Singapore, and a mutual friend of sorts, although I gather Jiyong's private account has since unfollowed her). It's clear that Jiyong isn't a huge fan of the way this woman grabs at him when he's trying to dance with his bestie, and Doom and I IMMEDIATELY alighted on the action at the very end of the video:

The first thing Doom yelled, without any previous knowledge of the video from me, was "THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I DO WHEN I WANT CREEPY MEN TO STAY AWAY FROM ME" - aka, indicate her wedding ring to her bestie because she's a taken woman and she doesn't appreciate people getting too close and touchy with her.

Now, can I prove that was what he meant? No, absolutely not, but it didn't look like the dance moves he was doing before, and it was aimed at CL, and also it's my life and it's fun to imagine that he's secretly indicating to CL that this woman had better step back because his husband won't be too happy with her nonsense lmao

Regarding Seunghyun, he's been consistently wearing a plain silver band since at least 2021, going by the date of the first picture (I will also say, the second picture from Alex Israel is especially incriminating because it was when he met up with both of them when he was in Seoul in 2022 and both of them are tagged at the bottom lmao):

Now again, none of that has to mean anything really, unless you want to put meaning in it. However, it's very interesting that this is a ring he consistently wears when he's out with friends, chilling at home, or doing small fan events, so it's clearly something that means a lot to him. He tends to wear it on his middle finger and he switches hands with it, so it's not as overtly a wedding ring as it would be if he wore it solely on his left ring finger, but tbh I worry that people would melt down if he did that so I'm not surprised he keeps it to his middle fingers hahaha.

Anyway! Do with all this information what you want, but I chose to believe they're in a committed long-term relationship and are displaying that symbolically with rings because they can't legally get married in SK 💕

Ooh, maybe we will! ☺️ Doom has already come to that conclusion herself, so maybe we'll look into it once we're done with Another Dimension (and the other remaining GD songs we want to look at hahaha)

I mean, yep, I could 100000% believe that - probably more tbh. I will say that the media always hints at gay relationships in kpop, they've been doing it since the dawn of time, because it gets people speculating and engaging with their content as they love to play on the highly popular BL/queerbaiting side of things without actually giving queer people rights or respect looooooool 🙃 From what I gather, the celebrity industry in Korea is a very close, protective community - they have whole villages just for celebrities and they seem to build friendships based on protecting each other's personal lives, which I supposed they have to in a hellhole like that country's media circus.

While I was archiving TOP's Studio54 lyrics here, I found a note from the korean lyrics on Genious.com that the english version didn't have. Author note: 13ub.

Apparently, the "I can't believe it" verse, the very fist words of the songs and a line that's present in the chorus and that returns multiple times throughout the whole song, is a sample from Frankie Feliciano’s Nervous Tracks, Kim English/Missing You – Club Mix, around 2:55-2:59 mark. I haven't seen anyone talk about this before.

The album Frankie Feliciano’s Nervous Tracks was released in 2006, according to AllMusic and Quobuz, though many other sources set the release date in 2007.

The song the sample is taken from is called Kim English/Missing You:

Kim English was an american singer who mostly spaced in the house and gospel genre. Her songs can be found in the "Nervous" playlists on Spotify, whose logo is the same that appears on the cover of Frankie Feliciano’s Nervous Tracks,

but what I think is important to point out is that her songs are featured in LGBTQIA+ playlists:

Now, I do NOT believe these are coincidences, not when it comes to T.O.P's perfectionism. The song he sampled is named after an Afroamerican woman who had big hit-songs between 1999 and 2002 and who was, for some reason, a queer icon (though I don't know if I would say icon; still, a relevant enough singer if the queer community chose her songs as anthems). So yet another queer-adjacent artist he adds into his work.

Second half of the title of the sampled song: Missing you.

Now. Don't make me say it. I will not say it, but.

But I think it's telling that that same sample ("I can't believe it!") of a song half called Missing you repeats over and over again from the beginning of the song to the very end of Studio54.

And this is my personal interpretation, but yes, they need him. He misses them. He wants to be free, but he misses them. Leaving them behind was a good choice, in hindsight, but he misses them.

Studio54 is about many things, but it's also about leaving BIGBANG and the pain and longing it provoked. (I kind of want to do a MV analysis, but that would take so much time, sigh.)

Anyway. Title aside, the other songs from the same album (Frankie Feliciano’s Nervous Tracks), are all full disco vibes. AND it features an artist/song called Gigolo Supreme. Yeah. According to Discogs, Frankie Feliciano has a bunch of aliases, and from what I gathered from his Spotify albums, he uses those aliases as half titles (like he did with Kim English).

Another thing, but this might be reaching. The fact that this album came out in 2006, the same year of BB's first album release, and the fact that the I can't believe it is at the very start of the song and keeps coming back regularly until the very end... I don't know. (It means something but what. But what.)
