something that people really dont understand about ADHD is that we dont “jump from one idea to the next”
we have very fast, very associative minds that connect ideas. we have a train of thought, it just goes WAY faster than yours!
example: im thinking about dogs. that makes me think of pitbulls, which makes me think of an animal planet show i enjoy. the show connects to tv in general, which makes me think of my favorite cartoon. i associate my favorite cartoon with art and animation, and i wind up thinking about shading techniques.
TL;DR: having ADHD is kinda like playing a lifelong game of 7 Degrees of Kevin Bacon

I am plagued by this but also that associative learning makes it really easy to be a hyper-generalist in terms of skills and knowledge.
This is how my brain works….

It drives my husband absolutely NUTS- we’ll be having a conversation and in a lull between sentences I’ll have jumped ahead six topics, pop back in with a “Yeah, and-“
Meanwhile, he’s looking at me like I’ve grown another head. To him, whatever I’ve just said is a total non sequitur, but I can track EXACTLY how I got there… it just doesn’t make any sort of sense to anyone but me.

So all in all this show just went downhill over the span of like 3 episodes and I feel disappointed. I was so immersed in tine and sarawat as their characters and in their relationship. It was going amazing. And then they suddenly moved in together and we didn't get to see any real lovey dovey couple things. They kissed before. GMM showed us kiss scenes! So why is it too much to give us an actual mutual kiss in the finale episode???!!
Like seriously this episode was just angst, sulking and flashbacks! The side couples were more couple-y than the main couple! They didn't have any alone time after they got back together and we just got a 1 year time skip that is supposed to show us that they are still together?? Not even a kiss after their reunion? Their FIRST MUTUAL kiss? Where are the emotions? Where are my dumb fools in love ? They absolutely destroyed this show with their bad script towards the end and I am absolutely disappointed, angry and sad about it...

How did you come up with the theory about Ram's fear of speaking?
So.
I was thinking about the fact that his mom speaks English more than she speaks Thai. Ram spoke English to her readily and very well. The dad also spoke English in that scene. But Ram’s younger brother (I forget his name at the moment), he comes in and starts speaking Thai immediately.
Really, based on just that and a conversation with @typetharns about it, we kind of came to a theory that perhaps Thai isn’t his first language. That he was born elsewhere and grew up speaking either English as a first language or whatever her native tongue is. Maybe both? But anyway.
Our theory is that the family moved to Thailand when little brother was still young and Ram struggled with Thai and other kids made fun of him. So he just stopped talking much at all, to avoid being made fun of. He would still have to write a lot for school, though, so he probably got good at that and just texted instead of speaking. Cause he didn’t have to pronounce anything or whatever. idk.
SO he got used to not speaking at all unless he’s around people he trusts and is comfortable with. Even though his Thai is fine now.
ANYWAY, in today’s episode, he said that kids are scary to talk to, so that sorta supports the theory that he stopped talking cause he was made fun of by other kids when he was a kid. Maybe it stuck?
But I dunno if any of this is true, I could be way off base. And he could just be uncomfortable with speaking for some other reason or for no particular reason.
