Tomorrow my niece will be taken off the ventilator and put to rest. A 4 year old disabled black little girl. She had so much spark and love in her heart for the people around her. And Covid took that away from us. This could have been prevented had the nurse that came to see her alerted us she had ‘cold’ symptoms (which was actually Covid).

This is your reminder to mask up and treat disabled people with respect by helping protect their health.

A reminder that Covid is not just a thing of the past, cases are rising again. Do your part.

What was done to my sister and I and, more importantly my niece, needs to be brought to justice. How does a home care nurse think it’s acceptable to come into the home of a multiply disabled little girl with life threatening illnesses and fail to tell us she had ‘cold’ symptoms? I only found out because when I initially told her my niece was in hospital, she ADMITTED to having a cold by saying ‘maybe she caught what I had.’

This woman literally killed a 4 year old disabled girl because she came into our home unmasked. After we told her we need her to wear a mask, SHE SAID SHE’D JUST BE A MINUTE. We knew from a previous day she came in that my niece wouldn’t get her daily care if we refused a nurse. They don’t send out new ones, EVEN IF they are killing someone’s loved one.

I don’t know if there’s a way we can sue them for negligence but this isn’t right 😭😭
