It was night and pei su was sleeping. Beside him. He could reach out his hand and touch him but he didn’t. Pei su hasn’t been sleeping well these past days.
Weizhao looked at his face, let his eyes trace from the neatly plucked eyebrows to the small chin and slightly opened mouth.
How could he live without this boy in his life? How could he go to bed without him by his side? How could he wake up without two black eyes thoroughly observing him and that pretty mouth smiling at him?
Weizhao doesn’t remember what his life was before pei su. Who did he eat his breakfast with? No one? Did he even have breakfast in the past? Who did he kiss before rushing out to work? Nobody? That’s pathetic.
Weizhao chuckled slightly. He’s such a fool.
You don’t fully understand that you’re lacking something in your life until you get it. And then your world will never be the same.
You’ll never understand you’re lonely until you find your person. You’ll never understand that you’ve never had a kiss that squeezes your insides and breaks your heart just to heal it until you kiss that one person. You’ll never understand that you’re capable to love someone so much until you meet pei su.
“My baby”—weizhao whispers trying not to wake him up, but pei su seems to hear it anyway.
He made that small sound which breaks and heals and twists and turns weizhao’s heart all the time.
He’s so full of love it starts to be physically painful to contain it all inside him.
“I love you so much”—he said in order not to explode right there on the spot.
Pei su’s lips are slowly curling into a pleased smile. He still hasn’t opened his eyes being half asleep.
Weizhao realizes that he has never wanted to end this world for one person until he does.
