to be a jedi. (maul: shadow lord spoilers)
Our girlfriend looks so pretty from outer space
the fallen
What was it about Jedi that made people believe they should get involved? No one tangled with cosmic forces of life and death and came out sane on the other side.

ngl some of these posts sound shortsighted so i’m pulling out the Marjane Satrapi quote:
"You are American, I am Iranian, we don’t know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same."
this website lets you listen to the sounds of all different forests around the world
Reblogging again cause I tried this site last night and if you need background noise to focus this is perfect for that, I was locked the fuck in on a task. And it’s also just gorgeous to listen to
Young people don’t know when I joined this website a decade and a half ago we used to have to walk to the post button and back and it was uphill both ways
Everyone in the notes being like oh yeah the reblog button used to be at the top of the post and you had to scroll back to the top I forgot about that I was just shit posting 😭 how could I forget after my first reblog of Colors of the sky
and of course remember

“Girls want a Superman, but they walk past a Clark Kent every day”
You fuckin CLOWNS think you’re a CLARK KENT? Not on my fuckin watch. You dumb, headass motherfuckers are barely a Guy Gardner and you think you’re a CLARK KENT? The amount of disrespect is unreal.
Listen here, wannabes: My boi Clark is 240 lbs of PURE KANSAS BEEF trained from a young age by Ma Kent to Love and Respect women as the Intelligent, Independent beings they are. He is shy rambling about tractors and casually moving the copy machine when my pen falls behind it and he would NEVER demand I be sexually or romantically interested just because he’s nice.
Y’all ain’t Clark Kent.
I have never hit the reblog button so damn fast.
“barely a Guy Gardner” is the sickest comics related burn I’ve heard to date.
Dudes healthcare is so fake. My ADHD meds are $940 without insurance. But they gave me a website of "coupons" which straight up looks like a scam website, and I got it today for $60! Just a coupon from a random website and it was $900 cheaper. America, I am confusion!! America explain!!
For all my uninsured judys out there it's for Walgreens only: walgreens.rxsense.com
as a pharmacy technician i can share with you some websites that give you those "coupons" for your meds!
goodrx is the most well known one, but if i'm trying to find the cheapest price for a patient i compare it to scriptcycle, and use whichever is offering the best price. you just type in the medication (PLEASE make sure you're getting the right drug, dosage, and quantity) and your zip code and they will spit out some offers for you
some pharmacies may have their own discount card to compare to as well!
if you are getting a name brand medication, you can also look at the manufacturer's website to see if they offer any evouchers for you to use too
good luck out there 👍
How to Pay Hospital Bills When You’re Flat Broke
another one is singlecare.com, brought my duloxetine from $240 a month to $20
and there are coupons for hrt on there as well :) different options for different pharmacies
dollarfor.org saved my broke ass, it can save urs too
Even the medication manufacturer can provide coupons. My monthly injection goes from $1800 to $20, and I pay a $5 copay.
i have a suggestion
a lot of ADHD behaviours and barriers feel like sims logic playing out in real time like i did my laundry but i had to pee and sleep so i stopped and i haven’t folded it yet except i can’t fold it yet because i need to eat but i can’t eat because the laundry basket is in front of the fridge. someone keeps queuing actions but they’re getting cancelled
What if we win?
What if the children go to schools unafraid of tear gas and bullets?
What if the birds come back, and the bees are healed, and every species moves from endangered, to threatened, to thriving?
What if the rainforest ADVANCES?
What if every parking lot had solar panels? What if every structure had solar panels? What if we built climbing gyms and terraced gardens in the skeletons of old coal power plants?
What if you baked your neighbor bread, and they shared their home-grown blackberries?
What if every person who needed a home, had one? What if every person who needed healing was healed?
What if every body was treasured for what it was, not what it should be?
What if every trans child's parents attended their graduation, their wedding, their new-name-day?
What if every warehouse became a closed-circle repair station? Goods flowing out, and back, and out again? What if landfills started to SHRINK?
What if the water and air were clean? What if there was enough public transit that the cars dwindled, leaving the streets safe for kids on bikes, evening deer, midnight cats and foxes?
What if we win?
How would you win?
And we've won a lot already, mind you.
The condors are back. The whales are saved. The sea turtles are no longer endangered. The cranes are back. The bees are recovering. The air in LA and Tokyo and London is clean again. The aquifers in the LA Basin are refilling.
Children are kinder than previous generations. Parents are stopping the abuse cycle. Being trans and queer is more acceptable than ever on a ground level.
It's hard to see if you're young, if you don't know how to step back from social media and the news. But remember--bad news sells, and the algorithm knows despair keeps you scrolling. It's a skewed lens.
We are fighting and we are winning against this adminstration's bullying. We are coming together against the bullies and they are running away scared because they don't understand that we will do that.
People are working hard every day to find ways to make sure fewer animals get hit by cars and planes and rockets.
Maker spaces are more common than ever. Solar and wind are more common than ever. Coal plants are shutting down every day.
Unprecedented numbers of acres are being bought back or given back to their rightful stewards, and the world heals because of it. People are working hard every day to learn how to help a forest recover faster.
We are not at zero. We are at decades of effort to heal the world. We've come SO far.
In 1982 there were only 22 California Condors left in the world. In 1992, when the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), with its public and private partners, began reintroducing captive-bred condors to the wild. In 2001 the first wild nesting occurred in Grand Canyon National Park since re-introduction. In 2002 there were only 8 pairs of wild nesting birds population-wide. In 2008, for the first time since the program began, more California condors were flying free in the wild than in captivity. Today there are nearly 500 – more than half of them flying free in Arizona, Utah, California, and Baja Mexico.
When I was born, there were no condors in the wild. I'm 37 now, and there are over 250 condors flying free.
When my mom was born in 1955, there were days when she wasn't allowed to go outside to play, because of the air pollution. When I was born, that never happened anymore.
When I was born, humpback whales were critically endangered, and people thought they were going to go extinct. Today, they've recovered to exceed their recorded numbers. Other whales too!
We fixed it.
We CAN fix it and we ARE fixing it and we DID fix it.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
It's still far from our reach.
But it's there.
Believing that things can get better is not blind hope or optimism--it is based on hard data that many things have consistently gotten better over the arc of history.
In addition to all that was mentioned above:
The likelihood of dying in infancy or childhood--or losing a child--has plummeted just in my lifetime. The likelihood of dying in a natural disaster is the lowest in recorded human history. Yes, even with the uptick in natural disaster intensity from climate change!
Humans alive right now are more likely to have access to healthcare, electricity, education, birth control, clean water, and nutritious food than at any other point in human history. There are so many diseases we can treat now that were a death sentence for 90% of human history.
This is not by accident. This is because generations of humans put in work to make life better for their communities.
Some of our solutions had the side effect of creating other problems--better access to electricity that ultimately made people's lives easier and safer led to pollution and climate change, for example--but we are tackling those knock on problems too. Our generation's solutions to our current problems will probably create their own less-bad side effects for the humans after us to deal with.
Is it silly and naive to believe we might actually be able to make things better? Not at all. We have many times before. We are doing it right now.
So a free tool called GLAZE has been developed that allows artists to cloak their artwork so it can't be mimicked by AI art tools.
AI art bros are big mad about it.
Seeing as Twitter is gonna legally steal your work now, please use glaze to protect what you make.
Guys did you hear about Nightshade?
Using both Glaze and Nightshade would corrupt the generation of pictures mimicking artist AND mess with the AI's recognition of what everything is. Like it would generate a dog when you ask for a cat.
And it would be hell for AI bros to remove the cloaked pictures from their database ʕ 👀人ʔ
Ao3 does not need an algorithm, you're just lazy
Ao3 does not need a 1-5 star rating system, you just want to bring down authors writing for FREE
Ao3 does not need automatic censorship, it is an archive, therefore anything can be posted
Writing or reading about something illegal does not mean the author nor the reader condones it, if that were true, you could never read a story involving anything negative
Purity culture is ruining fan culture and you all are fucking annoying

yesterday I got the "are you a boy or are you a girl" question from a six-year-old, and I told her that some people aren't boys or girls (like me!) I was expecting her to be a little confused, but she nodded thoughtfully and said, "wow, just like snails."
CALL YOUR SENATORS!!!
I don't usually make political posts on here but please call your senator if you're in the USA.
Kreia and Atton have a cubic fuck ton in common, which is part of why they absolutely fucking despise one another. because both of them are full of a truly toxic degree of self-loathing — something I think Atton admits to himself and Kreia attempts to deny (outwardly) even though she damn well knows it to be true
it's particularly interesting to me in the context of an Exile who either:
loves Atton and despises Kreia, or
loves Kreia and despises Atton
because the two of them are so similar, yet so different
they're both perfectly neutral in terms of alignment at the beginning of the game. neither of them leans either way by default. they're both sadistic fucks. they both love the feel of power, of control. they both regret and justify their previous actions. they both have intense criticisms of both the Jedi and the Sith. they've both been on the side of the Jedi/Republic and on the side of the Sith. they've both abandoned/rejected and BEEN abandoned/rejected by both of them. they both desperately want the Exile to trust them, confide in them, lean on them, and only them — even with that aforementioned self-loathing. they're both intensely, potentially murderously jealous of others who hold your attention, your approval, your affection. they both try to protect the Exile. they both are willing to kill and die for the Exile
the difference is Atton can change
Kreia can't. no matter what you do, no matter how much you agree or disagree with her, no matter if you end the game with positive, negative, or perfectly neutral influence with her, she will end it as Darth Traya. she will betray you. she will put your life on the line for her own purposes. she will justify it with her own psuedo-intellectual garbage, and expect you to agree with her in the end
she's Kreia. she's Traya. she's static — and that's not an insult. she's a yardstick by which you, and your other companions, are measured. she's better than the worst you can be. she's worse than the best you can be. she disapproves of being good without selfish intent, and with being evil with exclusively selfish intent. she has a point. she's full of shit. she demands to hold your leash no matter what. she'll never truly, fully approve of what you do, and yet she'll convince herself you're the only thing worth living and dying for. she'll never truly, fully open up to you, leaving herself enigmatic even in death
Atton? he'll disagree with you. he'll bitch at you. he'll praise you. look up to you. love you even if he hates you. he'll look for your approval even as he swats away any "forgiveness" you might offer him. he's good if you're good. he's evil if you're evil. he follows you into heaven or hell, regardless of whether he feels he deserves it. he wants you to hold his leash. there's nothing left for him but you — just you. he'll claim he doesn't approve of what you do in some way, shape, or form, but (not so) secretly, he really does approve or disapprove of your actions. he wants you to be good, even if he's willing to give in to his worst impulses if you give him permission. he'll lie to your face, lash out when you ask about his past, then spill his guts the moment he feels you've earned it
Kreia will die for you. Atton will die for you — and he'll live for you
they'll both only admit they love you when they're on their death bed
what makes someone love one of them and hate the other? being used, vs being the user, knowingly or not, willingly or not? being the dog, vs being the master? wanting to be guided, vs being the guide?
what marks the difference between Kreia and Atton, two people who have decided they're worthy of death, aside from the fact that one of them has condemned themself to it, and the other clings to life?
