Also while i'm here; go play something besides 5e. Broaden your horizons. Try something new. Hell, even older editions of D&D would be good. Try Basic/Expert, try AD&D- learn about THAC0 and exploration turns. Just do something besides 5e and see what other games have to offer, you might find a new favorite system.
Try Genesys! Try blades in the dark! Try a powered by the apocalypse game! Try dungeon world or mauseritter or literally anything! Dm me with a list of qualities you like in your RPGs and I will find a better system for you I swear.

“I love 5e, but I don’t know where to start” you may ask. Well here are a few suggestions:
Pathfinder 2E: do you wish 5e had more options? Do you wish there were more mechanics for breaking weapons or multiclassing shenanigans? Then this is it. The newest edition is widely loved by the community and has a lot of its 1E stuff online for free.
Call of Cthulhu: do you wish you could do more intrigue and horror, but 5e makes the game too easy? Try this out. 7th Edition is perfect for cosmic horror, intrigue, mystery, and all kinds of cool stuff. It has modes for 1920’s and modern day style campaigns, and is low magic makes for creative and fun roleplay and problem solving.
Ryutama: ever wish you could play in a Studio Ghibli style rpg? Wish exploration, crafting, and animal husbandry were better fleshed out in 5e? Wanna be able to fight goblins with cat ears? This system is easy to pick up and run, and the DM can even get in on the action with their own PC: The Ryujin, who acts as the party’s guide. Lots of fun.
Fate: do you wish d&d had more roleplay and less everything else? Are sick dramatic reveals and plot twists your jam? Then this is the system for you.
The Strange: do you like roleplay but want there to be some narrative weight to your actions? Are you into parallel universes? This is the system for you.
Mutants and Masterminds: do you like superheroes? This is it. Right here.
Dungeon world has a lot of the same fantasy flavor as 5e, but it is far more based on character choice and party dynamics rather than combat, with the combat stuff being simplified.
GURPS is built to be able to handle pretty much anything, so if you have a setting that doesn’t seem to fit an existing system, use GURPS.
I can't second this enough! There's lots of great games out there, and trying out new systems can help your TTRPG experience with any game. Try some out! Most are not that hard to learn, I promise. :)

Hey, thanks for answering my question! I do have more questions but first I want to say that what you two did with the concept was amazing and i understand that it was made in a game jam so its naturally more rough than a finish game, im just asking these question because im interested. Anyway here are the question:
1) Does elements only cancel each other when they are in the same spellstack? Or you cancel an element from another spellstack (like an enemy or even friend)
2) How does the barrier work with the dice? I know it applies the shield condition but how does that interacts with the dice result.
3) The pdf said that I can't use more than 5 elements in a spellstack even if I have more than 5 evoking points, what actions can i take with evoking points if i alread use 5 to cast a spell?

Heya, no problem! And thank you for the interest in our game! We might release another version to polish it up at some point, but we are definitely happy with our work for now. So for the answers: 1. elements only cancel out on the same spellstack.
2. The barrier doesn't actually work with the dice. It's something left over from an earlier draft where you'd flip the coin, but we left it in since barrier still needed representation on the stack. It's a little weird though, we get it lol 3. If you've already put 5 elements into your spell, you can spend remaining EP to start a new spellstack on your turn, or to add to other spellstacks! Thank you again!

Wizards of Many Hats
A chaotic game about mixing spells and getting destructive effects! You build up “spellstacks” of different elements, and at the end of each round a bunch of different shapes and combos of spells all go off one after another. It’s up to the players to carefully create their spells together to defeat their foes!
The Sports Anime TTRPG (TSATTRPG)
This single-page (back and front) narratively-focused game is inspired by anime like Haikyuu!!: dramatic stories about students, their goals and relationships, and sports! It features team-based checks, relationship mechanics between teammates, and a universal “match” system that works for most any team-based sport!

So I read Wizards of Many Hats and found really nice and interesting but i have one question about the system, does the player stack dice of the same element when creating a spellstack? The pdf says "You may evoke the same element multiple times for a greater effect" but idk if it is referring to mecanics or roleplay.
But anyway, might dm this for some friends, keep the good work!
Hi! This means a lot to both my friend and I that you liked it, so thank you so much! As for the question: that is mostly about mechanics! If you have multiple of an element on a spellstack and they all resolve, the elements are cumulative. You would roll the corresponding dice for damage multiple times, for every count of that element on the stack. And of course, who you roll that damage on depends on the spell's form. (This is definitely something we should have clarified a bit better, but that's how it is with gamejam games I suppose haha. Please feel free to send any more questions our way! The game's wording is not perfect and will definitely be due for a revision someday)

So here's the first of my promised TTRPG thoughts, featuring a rule you should steal for every TTRPG you play.
And yes, like, every single game. It's really simple, too.
13th Age is a really neat game: it's only theater-of-the-mind combat, very customizable characters, and a neat NPC relation system. But the thing you should steal is its "One Unique Thing" rule. Here's what the game's rules (which are FREE right here) say about it:
This is written nice and big right at the top of your character sheet, something that makes your character stand apart from every other character in the setting. It doesn't have to be big or grandiose (unless you want it to be!), but it gives your GM an extra foothold to get you involved in the world! And, you get a nice little feature of it as well. And as you can see, it really works in any system. I'm a huge fan of this mechanic in most tabletop games I play, making it mandatory encourages your players to think about what makes your character impactful in the story and setting.

Hey this blog exists! Was thinking I could use this blog a bit to talk a bit about tabletop stuff, rather than just posting homebrews.
