It's so fucking crazy that the Star Trek episode where you first see Spock do the Vulcan salute that would become emblematic of the entire franchise, and the first time you hear him say "live long and prosper," is also the one where he has to return to his home planet to Fuck Or Die but then gets manipulated into a pro wrestling match with Kirk that apparently serves the same function as the fuck option and totally cures him. And this aired as the season two premiere! It was the first time audiences saw Chekov! And it's the one with top surgery Kirk. It truly has it all. Greatest TV episode ever made.

The writers of Buffy messed up the lore at various points, but I think the silliest way they did it was definitely when they established that vampires CAN move around in daylight but only if they have a blanket over their head and go "yeouch ouch owie" the whole time

im currently listening to the audiobook of a market of dreams and destiny by trip galey and. the narrator just cannot quite seem to consistently remember how to pronounce owain??? it's not a hard name. oh-wine. but we've had oh-wayne and straight up OWEN several times mixed in here??? it's so confusing to me because the narrator reads the character owain's dialogue with a welsh accent even, so it's clearly intended to be the welsh name and not someone just misusing a welsh name to sound more ~fantasy~ like so often happens. and it's clearly mistakes because the rest of the time it IS said right. but it's such a weird inconsistency to not be caught in the edit? there's loads of made up fantasy names and THEY'RE all pronounced consistently. what did normal human name owain ever do to you!!!
