Intro post

After a little over a year of having this blog, i've finally decided to make an intro post

Basic information about me

Hi, i'm mostlikelybusy but you can call me Lapras (yes, like the pokémon and no, that's not my real name)

I'm from Belgium, my first language is Dutch (feel free to talk to me in Dutch if you want) I also speak English and I'm currently learning French and want to learn German

I'm bisexual (I might be lesbian but that's a whole other thing) and ace, I don't mention it much, but just so you know

My pronouns are she/her

My birthday is 30 september

I'm in highschool (aka middelbaar for my Belgian people out there)

Fandoms/interests

Fandoms i'm in: Cats: the musical, Sherlock Holmes (my favorite adaptation is Sherlock & co.), Good Omens (but i'm less into it then a year ago), big fan of musicals in general, Brooklyn Nine Nine and My Hero Academia (this was my first fandom)

Less active fandoms: K-pop (i was really into it a couple of years ago but not really now), anime & manga (same as K-pop), Hamilton, Dead poets society, Marvel (but mostly Iron-man and Spider-man) and Wicked

I'm interested in history (specifiacly Greeks and Romans + queer history), philosophy, D&D (but only kinda), art (i can't draw for shit but i like looking for meaning and hidden messages and stuff), languages and politics

Facts about me!!

My favorite colour is yellow

I study human sciences

I do theatre as a hobby, i used to do dance (i still love it tho) and i like singing

I've been reading fanfic for awhile now on A03 but i still don't have an account (I will get one, I promised @nucl34rb0mb)

I also write fanfics but haven't posted them anywhere (because of the lack of AO3 account)

I would love to be in an actual musical someday, though i gotta keep practicing if i want that to happen

My top 4 movies are (in no particular order) Brokeback Mountain, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Devil Wears Prada and Mulan (that's maybe, Iron-man 1, Spider-man 1 (with Toby Maguire) or Spider-man: homecoming could take that spot)

In the Rum Tum Tugger there's a little break in the song, it's the part in the song where Tugger gets to fool around on stage and/or in the audience. After the break they sing "The Rum Tum Tugger is curious cat. The Rum Tum Tugger doesn't care for a cuddle." I was listening to the 1983 original broadway cast recording when I realized something, in the 1983 original broadway cast recording the little break is played with a saxophone, meanwhile in the 98 film it's played with an electric guitar. This got me interested and so I went on a hunt for as many versions of the song I could find and made a little compilation of the break!

(If there's any actors I got wrong or actors where I wrote the name wrong, I apologize)

Does an electric guiter fit his character better? Yes. Does the saxophone, in my opinion, sound better? Yes. Older productions from the 80's and 90's (or really any production from before the 98 film came out, cause that version has an electric guitar and most productions follow the 98 film to a T) use a saxophone. From the 2000's and after it's an electric guitar. I really liked this little experiment, so if there's any parts of songs from Cats you wanna see different versions of, let me know! It's summer break, so I have lots of free time.

Does anyone have someone good non-replica productions of cats for me to look into? I wanna start watching some non-replica prods because recently i've seen clips of some and they all look really cool (if you have a link don't be shy to hand it over)
