laughter is my gut reaction to witnessing pretty much anything i find unbelievable and i’m counting down the days until it causes problems. i remember once i had a teacher who was screaming at someone and she said to them “in this classroom, i am god” and not laughing was the most difficult thing i’ve ever done

Will you ever write the Simon Snow series? or is that too many copyright issues?

I don’t think it would be a copyright issue.

I intentionally set up the Simon Snow story so that it would take up the same place in Cath’s world as the Harry Potter series does in ours. (That let me make lots of fandom jokes and references.)

But the characters and plots are different. Simon isn’t Harry, and Baz isn’t Draco or Snape (or Edward).

People ask me sometimes if I’ll write a Fangirl sequel, and honestly, I can’t see myself ever writing another book about Levi and Cath — they seem like they’re in a good place, don’t they?

But I think about Simon and Baz constantly.

I think about what I would do with these characters.

Not what Gemma T. Leslie did, not what Cath did.

How would I write Simon Snow? And isn’t anything I write canon?

My favorite thing about Chris Pine is that he’s so unabashedly THRILLED about everything with Wonder Woman. Female lead? Nice. Female director?? Awesome. Girl power and switching the typical male superhero narrative of acting out of revenge to a motive of compassion and love? LOVE IT. I get to play the non-powered boyfriend of the main girl superhero? LET’S GOOO. Like, he’s so thrilled to be a part of this and he recognizes the importance of it and I LOVE IT
