For context: I’ve been posting about it a lot but I was homeless for a year and my housing has been unstable for several years, I was able to get a room at the start of June, because the guy said I’d only have to pay half of my deposit up front because he understood how stuck I was, but I owe him the rest of it at the end of the month which totals to $1100. I was charged an NSF fee on my bank of $50 recently because I used Klarna to get groceries a few weeks prior to this, so the stress keeps adding up. I’ve been trying to get more shifts from my job but I work for the elderly on average and 3 clients passed, so there’s no shifts at all, I’m looking for other agencies and even a second job in general beyond what I do for a career to be able to stay afloat, but I haven’t been hearing back at all yet. I really want to be able to keep this room so I can go back on tesosterone/continue being able to be myself in general, because I wasn’t able to confidently do it when I didn’t have a safe place to shower without experiencing weird harassment, etc.
A lot of people have been helping out but I still don’t have enough for rent to secure the room, I have only 10, possibly 11 days to make the goal or I’m back to being homeless again once June is over. My partner is able to help feed me sometimes but everyone I know is struggling so any amount helps a lot. Please reblog if at all possible.

the whole "insulting someone based on their appearance is bad because it could indirectly hurt people you like who share that feature" is a good start for unlearning body shaming but i do think we need to go further and remind people that even if there was some physical trait that was magically 10000% exclusive to conservatives and creeps and nobody else ever had it, we still shouldnt be insulting them based on that. because the problem with them is not their appearance its their ideology and actions. by insulting their appearance you arent just indirectly insulting others who look like that, youre literally not making the correct point. stay on topic ya know.
also to be clear bc some people have mentioned it, theres already aspects of peoples appearance that are 10000% exclusive to a specific ideology (a tattoo of a fascist symbol, for example) but i really dont think you can count that as insulting someone based on their appearance because the appearance isn't the problem. idc if the tattoo looks good or bad i care that this person is broadcasting their fascist views to the world. i hope the difference is obvious,

it really is kind of interesting how attached people are to the idea of the improvised line and the genuine reaction in film. nearly every single famous moment or line has some sort of claim floating around that it wasn't in the script and was either made up on the spot by an actor or was sprung as a surprise on the actors to get their 'real' reaction. you know, sometimes people do come up with good lines in advance and write them down, and sometimes people can pretend to be have a convincing emotional response on screen
