happy birthday bullets. an album which is fundamentally about hanging out outside gas stations at night and getting your eyebrow pierced in a grocery store parking lot and bottom shelf liquor and pot smoke in your hair and cigarette holes on a mildewed couch and cigarette butts in the cup holder and making out with your best friend and fucking your enemy and thinking about killing your boss and your dead cellphone battery and your friend who knows a guy who knows a guy and red slashes through calendar dates and the rusted muscle car up on blocks at the end of the street and past due notices stacking up in the mailbox you don’t check. and also vampires
hey dude, idk how much you remember from the party last night but- yeah, everyone saw your want. yeah no it was pretty late and winding down so it was quiet enough that every single person there saw it throbbing and twitching in your chest and so wet with hunger it was glistening under the kitchen light. they said it looked like it was reaching for something
I shoved a nerd in my locker. so nobody steals my precious nerd
“My standard for verisimilitude is simple and I came to it when I started to write prose narrative: fuck the average reader. I was always told to write for the average reader in my newspaper life. The average reader, as they meant it, was some suburban white subscriber with two-point-whatever kids and three-point-whatever cars and a dog and a cat and lawn furniture. He knows nothing and he needs everything explained to him right away, so that exposition becomes this incredible, story-killing burden. Fuck him. Fuck him to hell.”

Came across this art installation, Liza Lou's Kitchen, at the Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC. It's a kitchen made of tiny glass beads, that artist Liza Lou did, taking 5 yrs. to complete, from 1991 - 1996.
