I love life. I love me.Situations that suck do not have to make life suck. Update: Still working the same shit job but am going to school to get a degree in business management. I am looking for a better job with a company that I can move up in once I finish my degree. I have a wonderful supportive girlfriend who loves me like crazy. As always ,life is good. Still a legend: Bill Hicks' latest posthumous EP promises unreleased material from the Texan comic

The world is about to meet another of the late, great Bill Hicks' many personalities. It was announced that three days before what would have been his 50th birthday, a fifteen minute EP entitled simply 12/16/61 will be available for digital download on iTunes.

Hicks' ghost is of course no stranger to posthumous material—fully eight of his official albums, including the most well known, Rant in E-Minor, were released after his death in February 1994. (That's just as many as Tupac, for those of you counting along at home.)

  12/16/61 was recorded when Bill Hicks was 21 years old; as young as that sounds, he was actually entering his seventh year as a performer. Growing up in suburban Houston, Hicks and his friend Dwight Slade performed guerilla character bits, unsolicited, for their fellow high school students. When a comedy club finally opened downtown, in the early 80s, they put in their dues week after week. Using his strict family life as fodder for the stage, Hicks gained an early reputation as a rising talent, and achieved modest success after moving to Los Angeles right out of high school.

Father sentenced to 6 months in jail for paying too much child support

HOUSTON, TX — A father will spend half of 2014 behind bars for doing too much for his son.  After overpaying child support and seeing his son too often — breaking terms that were secretly modified without his knowledge — a judge sentenced him to a lengthy jail sentence.

Song Premiere: Mic Harrison and the High Scores, “Don’t Change Your Plans”

If you’re the kind of person who believes good music can and should be simple, Mic Harrison and the High Score will be right up your alley. Harrison’s a Knoxville-based music vet who used to play guitar in Superdrag and The V-Roys. He’s also opened for Steve Earle and Scott Miller. Listen to the track “Don’t Change Your Plans,” from his band’s new album, Still Wanna Fight, below.

“This is the first record we recorded live in the same room,” Harrison tells American Songwriter. “All our previous records were individually tracked, which is great but there’s something about being able to watch each other and feel those tiny ebbs and flows that gives this record a different energy. I originally  wrote ”Don’t Change Your Plans” back in the mid 90′s when I thought my future wife was moving to Arizona. I came back to the song last year, trust me this one is so much better then the first one.”

Manowar is making themselves extinct because ticket prices are too high and their new music is too crappy to make any new fans. One by one they get disillusioned and eventually there will be none. but the ones like me who it matters to have a little Manowar in us always. Its why i still call myself DawnOwar. and whether they're crappy assholes or you want to give them money or not, the first 6-7 albums are great and they mattered for a long time to a lot of people cause they should have.
