Ok but one of those in there is kuzushiji, or Japanese cursive, which is an outlier and should not be counted. Not only are the characters written in a cursivized form, but you see, Japanese has 3 scripts, right? They use Chinese characters interspersed with two phonetic syllabic character sets that are derived from those characters called hiragana and katakana. But here’s the thing.

There are over 1,000 years’ worth of written Japanese history where not only were they writing in cursive, but they hadn’t standardized which Chinese characters each hiragana or katakana was derived from nor how they should be simplified. So, not only are you looking at absolute chicken scratch, but you don’t even know for sure what the set of possible things the chicken scratch is supposed to look like might be.
