Hey reminder to the (pro)endos that keep bringing up trans people in the topic of systems,

being trans and gay were removed from the DSM because there’s was no scientific evidence that either of them were actual disorders.

Forming alters has scientific evidence to constantly prove that it can only happen through forming a CDD which can only happen through trauma.

Other Specified Neurodevelopmental Disorder (OSND)

So it's come to my attention that not a lot of people know what Other Specified Neurodevelopmental Disorder is. So I've decided to make a quick post explaining it :D

Now there's going to be at least one person going 'this doesn't exist', it does. It's an official diagnosis in the DSM-5, under the Neurodevelopmental Disorder.

So what is OSND? As the DSM-5 states "This category applies to presentations in which symptoms characteristic of a neurodevelopmental disorder that cause impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning predominate but do not meet the full criteria for any of the disorders in the neurodevelopmental disorders diagnostic class." For example, you might fall short on a diagnostic criteria for autism but your symptoms impair some area of functioning. You then get diagnosed with OSND with the subscript stating autism traits. That's what happened to me!

Now this can happen with traits of all neurodevelopmental disorders, which are: - Intellectual Disabilities - Communication Disorders - Autism Spectrum Disorder - Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder - Specific Learning Disorder - Motor Disorders (Tic Disorders)

So if you feel like a specific symptom or sets of symptoms are impairing you in your day to day functioning but you're worried you might not meet the official diagnostic criteria for a neurodevelopmental disorder, you can always still go and seek a diagnosis, you can get accommodations with OSND!

A genuine question to endogenic systems: how? like CDD needs trauma and how do you have ANPs and EPs? like what part of you qualifies for a diagnosis?

i sometimes wish we had possessive switches instead of only non-possessive switches cause not only do we not have regular amnesia (only emotional amnesia) it now also feels like we're faking cause half the time we dont even know ourselves who is fronting
